Welcome to the Honeycomb Hideout — a peaceful, thoughtfully designed mountain retreat nestled in the town of Cavendish, Vermont. Just 15 minutes from Ludlow and Okemo Mountain, our home offers the perfect balance of rustic charm, cozy living, and year-round adventure.

This home was designed by us personally with care, purpose, and a deep appreciation for the Vermont setting. The cabin-style aesthetic, warm wood finishes, and open-concept layout create a comfortable space to relax and connect—whether you’re unwinding after a day on the slopes or watching the sunset over Mt. Ascutney from the deck.

Inside, you’ll find a well-equipped kitchen, inviting living areas, and family-friendly amenities that make it easy to settle in. The natural light, thoughtful details, and simple, clean design allow guests to enjoy both comfort and calm. Whether you’re gathering with family, escaping for a romantic getaway, or exploring the Green Mountains with friends, the Hideout welcomes all with warmth and ease.

LOCATION & SEASONS
The Hideout is located in Cavendish, a quiet and charming town with authentic Vermont character. It’s just a short drive to Ludlow’s restaurants, shops, and attractions—and even closer to world-class skiing and snowboarding at Okemo Mountain Resort. Fall foliage here is stunning, with fiery reds and golds surrounding you on every drive and trail. In spring and summer, take advantage of nearby hiking, rivers, farmers markets, and scenic byways.

This was our second stay at the Honeycomb Hideout and it was as we remember. Great home, super cozy and perfect for our family. We had friends from out of state come up and stay with us very last minute which made us a party of 8 total. The home handled it perfectly for two families of four. Looking forward to our next trip back!!

Exceptional spot for a family getaway - close proximity to Okemo Mountain. The home is beautifully designed, spotlessly clean and the hosts thought of everything to make it a comfortable and inviting stay. Highly recommend!

Beautiful home

The house was wonderful. House was clean. Our family had a wonderful time playing in the backyard. Close to numerous ski towns. The bunkbed downstairs was a nice surprise.

Great Weekend

Just spent the weekend at this Cavendish Chalet. Though the weather was not great our stay here was terrific. Very clean, nicely decorated and super cozy. Look forward to coming back!!!

Hidden Gem

This place is an amazing property in a hidden little enclave in an otherwise well traveled portion of the state. The house is beautiful, with amazing space. It is perfect for families and friends alike. The location has an amazing view of Ascutney mountain. It feels secluded, but is yet, very accessible with an SUV. 5/5 across the board.

Cozy accomodations perfect for a group

Feeling anything killing the house was lovely for our family. The kitchen table in basement were heavily used. We really enjoyed the well-stocked game closet. The view out the back was enjoyed in the morning with a cup of tea. There were many baskets of blankets that kept everyone feeling like home. The host was very responsive during our stay.

Perfect for an Okemo ski trip

This was a perfect spot for a ski trip to Okemo. House is awesome - recently renovated and In fantastic condition. The hosts were readily accessible and extremely accommodating. You are just a short 15 minute ride to Okemo where we skied both days during our weekend trip. I will definitely look to stay here again in the future.

Wonderful weekend

This is a lovely property. Every detail has been thought of for you. Great to have two separate living areas. The kids loved the basement! Also, the beds are comfortable!!!!! This is not always the case with Vrbo bookings, as we all know ;) Adam the host was super helpful and v quick to respond with answers to my questions. We will return! Thank you.

Beautiful Chalet

Adam's Chalet was beautifully updated and had ample space for our group. View off the deck was amazing. Plenty of space for 8 of us to relax in the living room and around the dining table. Location was perfect. We were up for a bike race held at Ascutney which was about 20 mins away. We also had dinner in the Okemo area which is very close. Would definately stay again.

Cozy, charming, and chic near Okemo!

My family had such a great stay at Honeycomb Hideout. It was the perfect spot to recharge and relax after active days at Okemo. The house is very well appointed and is beautifully updated. There are lovely, cozy details throughout. The mountain view out the back deck is gorgeous and quintessential Vermont. I actually stopped to watch a sunset for the first time in I don't know how long! Adam was easy to get in touch with and always helpful in answering my questions. Highly recommend Honeycomb Hideout for your next Vermont getaway!

Impeccably Decorated Chalet in Beautiful Location

Beautiful well-cared for and pristinely clean property. Clearly designed for peaceful and cozy relaxation. We enjoyed the property with our 3 children (5, 10 and 12) - and we all had a wonderful time enjoying the game room downstairs, movies in front of the wood-burning fireplace and dinners at the large dining room table. And there is plenty of space and carefully designed tucked-away spaces to find private moments. Wonderfully soft blankets abound! Personally, I especially enjoyed sunrise yoga on the loft overlooking the backyard and mountain views. An incredibly easy and quick drive to Okemo! (only about 10-15 min). We felt awful that on the first day we broke one of the lamps in the upper loft space (what a way to start a trip!?), but Adam was incredibly understanding and thoughtful. A couple of recommendations: (i) Add storage/bureaus for guests to be able to organize clothing (particularly in lower bunkroom) and (ii) Cleaning fee seemed a little high for requested check-out procedures (leave house as you arrived). Highly recommend for any season.

A great balance of comfort and convenience to Okemo

The 15 minute drive from Okemo is worth it to be in a comfortable, clean, new home with a nice view. With SIngleton's market right on the way, we didn't have to make a separate trip for some of their world famous bacon for breakfast too! The host was super communicative and the house had everything you would need in the kitchen for cooking in, which was nice.

Great stay!

We had a fantastic stay at the Honeycomb Hideout. The house is very well maintained and has everything you need. The weather didn't hold out for us but having a great place to stay made up for it!
