“Upon entering the room I smelled a strong smell of urine. I immediately started looking for another hotel online, but they were all booked up. My husband suggested getting air freshener but that would just cover up the filth. I walked to the gas station and got a bottle of 409 and paper towels. I cleaned the floor by the toilet and my towel came up BLACK. I proceeded to clean the entire floor and it apparently hadn’t been properly cleaned in a while. The smell improved but not much. “Owners were super helpful and friendly. Nice to see a hotel owned by white people who actually care about your stay. Room was clean. Dated, but clean. Nice to be out of the really busy area but still close to the Main Street vendors.”

“The room was small with two queen beds however it was very convenient to have a refrigerator, microwave and fireplace. The beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. There were generous bath linens and coffee portions. I would say the only negative was the floors looked cleaned but our socks and feet were dirty after walking on them without shoes. Housekeeping was efficient and did a great job. Parade route was right in front of the motel and we could sit on their elevated street side wall”
