We enjoyed our early morning bike rides to Clan Gregor Square and Pioneer Park in the afternoon to watch the sunset. The cottage had everything we needed to make our stay away from home perfect. “First off, the listing is not accurate - it states "5 bedrooms", it's 3 bedrooms, a sunroom and a loft. As well two bed pictures in the listing were not in the space we rented - this should be fixed. One of the "queen beds" was actually two box springs and a 2 inch foam piece - not even remotely useable. The kitchen is well equipped, but when we got there 2 of the 3 pot lights over the sink as well as the light over the stove was out-we replaced what we could. The space is large for sure, but...

“This cottage is styled so beautifully - with calming neutral tones & vintage finds. The stone fireplace was nice to have (and pretty to look at) on the chilly nights. It's a very comfortable space to be in! The covered side porch is a nice extension to the living space in warmer weather & a great spot to watch the sunrise over the back field. “We had such a great weekend staying here. Everything we could’ve needed was available in the kitchen once we got our groceries. All spices, pots, pans, oils, sugar, even coffee was provided and it was enough for us as we only stayed for a weekend. The private beach area was perfect for the kids! We set up a little sun shelter, and the kids played in the sand in our own area. The water was too cold as we were there at the beginning of June, but it was still a perfect beach trip for us regardless....

“This property is a dog owners dream! Huge fenced backyard so you don't have to have your pup on leash all the time and we had access to a private beach which my bulldog loved. We used the beach daily and never ran into another person on it. The town of Bayfield has water bowls for dogs outside most shops and again our bulldog was welcome most places in town. All of this made vacationing with our dog really easy - which was initially a worry of ours when booking time away from home.”

Arrival and check-in went smoothly and we found the cottage to be as advertised, freshly renovated and well within our standards of cleanliness.
