“After walking around the room in bare feet (after showering), we found our feet to be filthy. Apparently the floor had not been mopped between guests. Housekeeping came and mopped when we contacted them about it. We were also planning to use the sofa bed but it was literally just fabric over springs and thus unusable. It was also clear that it hadn’t been cleaned in awhile as it had hairs and food crumbs on the bedding that had probably fallen down through the couch cushions. On a positive note,...

“The hotel was very nice and clean. The room was clean as well and the view was amazing! Breakfast at the hotel was very good with lots of variety including hot items. The staff kept things stocked and were helpful if anything was needed. The hotel was a bit pricey overall but I guess it's worth the price considering the location, cleanliness and amenities. A couple of the waitresses at the outside bar weren't as friendly and made some sarcastic comments to one of my family members. But the...

“Very nice and quaint”

“I'm going to start with the staff. I would give them 10 STARS if I could!! We needed a few things during our stay and they were there with them within minutes. Love that. The room was very clean upon arrival and it was perfect for what I was looking for. The only complaint that I would have is that the flooring needs some attention. There were certain spots where it was coming up and very sharp to step on barefooted. Other than that, not one single complaint. We will be staying at The Beach...

“This place was not the most expensive however it was very clean and the staff were nothing but respectful and helpful. The building itself is a little dated however the location is one of the best we’ve ever had. That much makes up for a room a little bit dated. For that same price we would definitely book this room again.”

“Checking in after hours is a bit complicated. Pool needs a better filtration system as the water has a bit of an oily film and lots of floating things in the water. Walls are thin in the hotel rooms and anyone conversing outside can be heard inside. Other than that, when we did interact with the staff they were friendly and the rooms were clean and spacious. We did enjoy our visit”

“The room was in great condition. The staff was all friendly and helpful. For us, the breakfast was the best we have ever had in a hotel as far what they offered and their staff kept it well stocked and cleaned up (because guests do not know how to simply clean up when serving themselves). We thought the Fairfield in Southport, NC did a great job overall and we enjoyed our stay. The only draw back to us was the parking lot was on the smaller side.”
