“This place is overpriced, dirty feeling, dark, and staff assistance non existent. No wifi except piggy backing off the casino. The casino is a small and dingy as well. I do not recommend. 40 min from Reno with the fastest way driving back to 80 in Cali - Truckee.”

“The virtual assistance at the front desk was extremely rude - stating she was super busy and will get to help us when she can. Our plug stopped working so microwave and toaster didn’t work. We had no internet thought the storm was over. No priorities and cleaners never came. Basically, it’s a fend do yourself type of place - good luck is anything happens someone will come help you. ”

“Staff very nice and helpful! Breakfast was delicious, with a lovely view of the lake across the road (loved the hip retro alt rock music that was playing too). The whole place has a cool hip vibe. Was nice to have early morning free hot coffee available. Room was nice and very clean and comfortable. 1st floor patio off of the room faced the parking lot, so not that useful, but too cold when I was there anyway. Could hear evening parking lot noise (especially with the window open), but it was...

“Very nice facility, but as with so many "resorts" now, there are many add-on charges beyond what the room rate originally appears. We did have an excellent meal and service at the Osteria Sierra restaurant at the hotel. ”

“Super cute cabin and lovely setting. Had some trouble with finding parking for a second vehicle — one staff person told me we had to go all the way to Kings Beach to park it, which was not very helpful. Aside from the parking issue it was a great place to stay.”

“Loved our stay here. It was very peaceful and the reception staff were very friendly. They were great with communication and instructions. We got to our cottage after hours and it was a smooth check-in with the instructions emailed to us. The cottage is very comfy and spacious.It was about a 10 min drive to everything like downtown Truckee and it said 15/20 min to Palisades Tahoe but felt like less. ”

“The restaurants are not that great. Most don’t do breakfast. I wouldn’t mind paying a high price but it needs to be good. The resorts are geared towards young people & that’s great. However, as a senior citizen resorts don’t offer much. I would like clear walking trails with no rocks as seniors have difficulty maneuvering rough terrain. We’re not dead yet & want to experience our beautiful country.”

“This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The pool felt like you were bathing in straight chlorine—the smell was unbearable and it burned my eyes almost immediately. They charge for everything. There is no regular parking available, only valet, and it was extremely overpriced. On top of that, there were extra hidden fees that were never clearly explained. Overall, a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.”
