Welcome to the neighborhood! Enjoy the walkable streets, stroll through Willson College and see the stables! Downtown Chambersburg is close by and offers local popular restaurant options. Just a few blocks down the street is the Norland Pub...perfect for a meal and drink. A few blocks further and you will find Target, Red Robin, Chick-fil-A, grocery stores, and soooo much more. Interstate 81 is about a mile and half away for easy accessibility. Walmart is about 4 miles away. The local hospital is less than 2 miles. Check out some of our parks such as Norlo Park (6.6m), Caledonia State Park (11.1m), and have you heard about the Chambersburg Aquatic Center...think mini water park (2.9m). All you have to do is google things to do near Chambersburg, Pa and you will find countless options. You are truly a "stone's throw" from many things. This home was built over 100 years ago, and we love its charm and character. You will find it to be quiet and cozy. It has been tastefully remodeled into what you see today, and is ready for the next 100 years. I love how the designer of this home prioritized space for enjoyment, making it a unique special accommodation. There are multiple areas for relaxation and simply living, which was not always very common in a home of this age. The wide front porch is a delightful place to sit and enjoy a cup of tea while taking in the quaint historical neighborhood. The fenced back yard is a comfort to parents with children who need to run and stretch.

Throughout the home you will notice labeled light switches to help you know what switch does what. You will also find other labels to help with finding things, and knowing where things belong.

A Pack and Play is available for infants/toddlers, please notify me if you need to use this item and I will have it prepared for you.

You will find two TVs at the property. The one is in the main living areas at the front of the house. The other TV is in the back of the house in the small siting area. Both TVs use a Roku. The Roku can be used to log into any of your streaming subscriptions, as well as to access other free Roku options. See additional information at TV locations for how to operate the equipment. Trust me...it's easy!

In the front of the house you will find the main living areas. There is a seasonal gas fireplace. If the fireplace is ready for seasonal use you will find instructions for operation within the home near the fireplace. The fireplace is disabled late spring through summer. On either side of the fireplace you will find shelves and cabinets containing items that are free to use. Games, books, puzzles, & toys can all be found in the home; all of which are yours to utilize. I have strived to have enrichment items for all ages of guests. I will continue to add to these items, please share suggestions with me for new additions. Please return items in the condition found to the location they were found when you are finished enjoying them.

The small sitting area, in the back of the home, offers a semi private additional sleeping accommodation. Here you will find a pull out couch with a queen size mattress. This area is a transformational area. If this area is being used for a guest during your booking then additional bedding will be provided for the pull out bed. If being used I will partially prepare the bed and return it to the sofa position, so the area can be used through the day. You will find instructions at the home for where the extra items you will need are located.

The home has two bedrooms, each feature an incredibly comfortable queen bed. Cotton linens are used for your maximum comfort (I just can't get used to microfiber sheets). Extra pillows and blankets can be found in each bedroom within the dressers. Please place unneeded bed pillows in the basket when not on the bed. Ceiling fans can be operated by the remotes found on the closet doors in the bedrooms (the light switch must be on for these remotes to be activated). Trash cans are provided in both bedrooms. Hamper baskets are in the closets for your use or for used towels. There are hangers if you desire to hang your clothing. The lamps in the bedrooms feature touch operation...so you don't have to fiddle for a hard to find switch on a lamp you don't know. These lamps also have various plugins for charging of all your devices.

In the bathroom you will find complimentary shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, body towels, wash towels, hand towels, facial tissues, and toilet paper. If you look in the medicine cabinet you will find extra items that are provided for your use and comfort while staying, please help yourself. A collection of first aid items are located in the medicine cabinet as well. The trash can in the bathroom is located under the bathroom sink. Please be sure to hang wet towels on hooks or dispose of them in the hamper baskets (located in the closets of each bedroom). The light switch directly inside the bathroom door controls the ceiling light and also controls the fan. There is a switch for the vanity light, this is slightly hidden, on the wall between the sink and toilet.

A special spread of coffees and teas for your enjoyment; there is also sugar, various sweeteners, honey, & cream. You will find the Keurig coffee maker and coffee assortment on the kitchen counter. The other items are in the dining area. Additionally, in the refrigerator there are eggs free for you to use while staying. These eggs are from my happy free range chickens. If you have never seen different colors of chicken eggs aside from brown and white...now is your chance! The kitchen is stocked with everything you may need for food preperation. Oil, cooking spray, typical spices/seasonings, salt & pepper are provided. There is a toaster oven and crock pot for your use as well. The kitchen includes a stove/range, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, and dishwasher. Please use the exhaust fan when cooking. Under the sink you will find trash bags, and a couple simple cleaning supplies if you desire to wipe something up. Please, don't worry about cleaning though...we desire you to relax while staying here! Also, under the sink you will find dishwasher solution. To the right of the sink on the bottom cupboards is the pull out for the kitchen trash.

In the basement you will find the washer and dryer which are available for your use. Additionally, there is an ironing board, iron, clothes line, clothes pins, and laundry detergent. Please, if you use the dryer, be sure to clean the dryer vent into the trash can. Also, please leave the washing machine door open when not in use. Laundry detergent and dryer sheets are available for your use. The rest of the basement is owner storage and utility items. There isn't much to see down there...but it is actually a pretty nice basement for a 100 year old home....if you're into checking that kinda thing out:) **Please Note** Watch your head when going down to the basement. The last couple steps down the stairs may put your head in contact with a beam.
