“This is our go to stop-over on our way back from a second home in the French Alps. The hotel is a Heritage Building at the heart of the old walled town which sits high above the city of Laon. There is plentiful parking in close proximity and a variety of interesting restaurants. Laon Cathedral is amongst the finest in France and is just 5 minutes walk. Excellent and cost effective breakfast not to be missed. We will be returning quite soon!”

The owner was nearby but not intrusive - he was very friendly and kind and we were lucky enough to meet his lovely daughter, who has excellent English - such a help!The area was lovely too - we went on a lovely walk near the Lake. “The hotel is in a very quiet village not far from the motorway, the room was lovely and rustic, very French with a bathroom. The hosts were extremely helpful, the breakfast was in another lovely room, with a good supply of breads, cheese, ham etc.”
