Great house for family/friends weekend gathering and ski weekend at Seven Springs. Plenty of space. Had everything we needed. Firewood on hand was great for fire in awesome fireplace in family room. Enjoyed meeting Russ the owner. We had much in common (mostly golf), so enjoyed chatting with him. Great dude, great place! Will be back!

The space it offered was fantastic. The rooms upstairs had air conditioners which was nice, but the basement rooms were unfortunately stale/musty smelling and hot which really bothered the few that had to sleep down there. Kitchen and outdoor space was amazing! Around all of the windows need a good clean as well, and being unable to lock the doors at night was a little unsettling for a few. The bedrooms all had locks though so I’m guessing it’s the way it is because it’s a venue sometimes? Overall good for most of us, thank you!

What a fantastic spot for a family reunion! We recently gathered 16 family members at this rural western Pennsylvania cabin, and overall, it was a memorable stay. The cabin's size was perfect for our group; we had ample space to cook, chat, and play games, but also plenty of quiet corners for downtime. We especially appreciated that the main gathering areas were TV-free, truly encouraging connection. Our absolute favorite spot was the spacious porch, which was large enough for our entire family to gather comfortably, chat, and even play some yard games, truly becoming the hub of our outdoor activities.The location offered a good balance of seclusion and convenience. Within a 20-minute drive, we found an adequate number of restaurants, shops, and activities, including some really interesting Frank Lloyd Wright properties. One important heads-up for future guests: grocery store options in the immediate area are limited and can be pricey with a smaller selection, so plan accordingly!

Great for family retreat

This is our third visit to Legends with our kids and grandkids. The lodge has a well-equipped play room for the little ones and a comfortable porch for the adults to relax on. Lots of places to play board games, too. The kitchen is great, and the extra fridge in the side room was a tremendous asset. Russ was helpful in recommending area attractions and gracious in all our interactions. Everybody always looks forward to coming here.

Fun for all ages

We enjoyed our stay at the Legend Woodland Lodge. We were there for a family reunion with 25 people of varying ages. The house was comfortable with sufficient bedrooms and spaces that it never felt crowded.The kids enjoyed the play area and built a fire in the night. The yard and surrounding areas were great with lots of play structures for children and adults. We enjoyed our stay, visiting Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas.

Great Property Great Owner

A group of 16 guys from my church spent a weekend getaway at this property. It was perfect for us. When we got there, the owner spent a good amount of time with us and he is awesome. The beds were comfortable, the communal space was spacious, and there was more room than we needed. This would be great for large groups, or a few families. The pictures online dont do it justice. They provided firewood, which was awesome. Great Property, Great Owner!

Fantastic Place!!

We were a hiking club of 21 from Ohio who came for the weekend to explore Ohiopyle. The house was perfect for us. We had a big potluck Saturday night and the kitchen was well-equipped with all we needed. Also loved the dining room that was like a restaurant set up with 5 separate tables. Also loved the great room -- fit almost all of us in there for playing Blank Slate and Guesstures games. Plenty of room to spread out to library or downstairs family room if we didn't all want to be together. The rooms were surprisingly quiet while sleeping -- that's rare with all these people. Our only wish was if the weather would have been nicer so that we could have enjoyed the beautiful porch and backyard area. We will definitely stay again!

Ski Trip Lodge

This was our second year at "Legends". The house has more than adequate space for the 20 family members who were able to make our ski trip to Seven Springs. The 3-story rustic house has massive wood beams and a 14-foot-tall lighted Christmas tree in the spacious Great Room. We all had a wonderful weekend!

Close to the slopes

Every year we go to 7 Springs for a long weekend of skiing. This was the first year that we stayed at this property. Everyone really enjoyed the place and how close it was to the slopes. Our group was about 25 people, and it has been difficult to find a place that can host a large group. This fits the bill. One small issue is that a couple of the people mentioned that the bottom-floor bedrooms smelt a little musty. Once we opened up the rooms and got the air moving, the smell went away. I will put this place on my list to return in the future. Everyone enjoyed themselves.

perfect ski vacation getaway!

The house was absolutely perfect for our ski vacation with family and friends. It was spacious, beautifully maintained, and had every amenity we could have asked for—from a fully equipped kitchen to a fully stocked playroom and thoughtful touches throughout. We were just a short drive from the Seven Springs resort, which made our trip so convenient and enjoyable. Russell was a fantastic host - from the warm welcome to the helpful recommendations, communication was seamless!

Beautiful

This property is beautiful with several areas for groups to gather. The living room with the fire place is exceptional. The kitchen is also very spacious. We had a few items in need of attention and Russ came to help.

Third Christmas at this home

This is our third consecutive Christmas at this home. It is perfect for our extended family. We love the kitchen with the couch and chair, beverage bar and ample space. Many in our group love all the space for all the games we like to play. It is decorated to give us the holiday spirit. The bedrooms and bathrooms gives everyone privacy while being together.

Magical Family Thanksgiving!

We’ve been renting a house in the Seven Springs area for 6-7 years now and this by far was our most favorite. It was the perfect size for us overall. It has an amazing fireplace that made our entire experience more cozy and warm. The layout is great for groups to be watching football, chatting in the kitchen or relaxing in the fireplace room. Great kitchen for cooking. Russ could not have been more accommodating and we loved the location and its proximity to everywhere.
