Needs an upgrade for a 3.5 star rating

Booked in for 2 nights, first thing I was told at reception was that there was a single bed in the room as well as a queen bed and if the single bed was used we would be charged extra. Then I was asked if we came from south of the border? Not very welcoming. The room certainly needed upgrading for a 3.5 star room. There was about 300mm between the side of the queen bed and the wall. Then there was an old box type A/C above the bed. Two cold nights but couldn't sleep with the A/C on, so had to turn it off and it was rather chilly. Needs a new split system mounted over the entry door away from the bed. Got up in the middle of the night and found two cockroaches running on the floor in the bathroom, killed them. Came back to motel on the second day and room not serviced and bin not emptied, no wonder the cocky problem. Emptied bin ourselves. Very squeezy parking in some units.

Free to do laundry and laundry powder provided. Lovely and friendly "older" lady staff member who helped us with the laundry.

The staff were lovely, they were happy to fulfil any requested we made, were kind and happy to be of service. The motel is conveniently located and has cosy rooms.

Perfect location for events held at the Showgrounds. Staff were very welcoming. Courtyard area is great to sit back and have a few drinks with our large group. Bathrooms recently redone and new beds. I hear new carpets are going in shortly. Laundry facilities are all new. Parking bays are tight, but plenty of other close options. Will be back again.

Greg and Kerry went out of their way to make my stay a really good experience. Every thought was given to making my stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Greg kindly agreed to pick me up from the airport as I had no car hire and Kerry turned on the aircon before I arrived so the room was cold. Nothing was too much effort. The food was amazing and the portions were massive- strongly recommend the lamb for dinner!! The room was clean, comfortable and bright. Strongly recommend you order the big breakfast!! Delivered to your room piping hot and enough to feed an army!! Simply could not fault a thing about this Motel. Will definitely be back!!

The lady who checked us in checked us into the wrong room to start off with. Reception also closed an hour before scheduled close time and then we had to wait for reception to be opened. Was made to feel that we arrived so late - we arrived at 8:03pm.

We were in Charleville for the Ladies District Golf Championships and stayed at Charleville Motel for 4 nights. The room and beds were comfortable although there were burrs in the carpet which caught us out regularly (and we were careful not to add any more burrs by cleaning our shoes into the bins). The shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispenser was broken and the temperature of the shower was difficult to moderate (quite dangerous at times). Car parking was difficult.

Outback trip.

It was in a quiet area but we had to drive to the town centre and all attractions. Basic amenities but bed was comfortable and shower was good.

Comfort in the outback

A good hotel in this outback town. Some rooms have been refurbished, our two hadn’t been. Basic but jo complaints.

Like the location did not like the room, old with Avery noisy air conditioning unit, old and very very very noisy. Needed the unit as it was very cold so it was being awake cold or been awake warm. No choice.

The Outback

The motel was quiet, off the main highway but easy access to everything. Wifi very slow but that was as expected in the outback.

False advertising!! Poor Wifi, office was hardly manned, no phone in room, the restaurant was not open, our room was not made up and toilet paper ran out.
