Ok stay
We rented this place for my family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) and my parents. It was advertised as 2 queen beds and a double futon. There was no futon in the house. My kids had to sleep on a sectional with no extra bedding to be found in the house. I reached out to the owner, who stays in the basement, the next morning, but never got a response. It is a 1.5 bath, not 2, as there is only a shower/tub combo. The mattresses are very hard, which we did not love, but know some people could. We killed several big black ants during our stay as well.

Great vacation rental!
The property was beautiful! It was very clean, very comfortable, and I loved the peacefulness of the home. Very relaxing. The host was easy to contact and accommodating! It was close to all the places we wanted to visit and exactly what we wanted!

Our experience.
We chose this property for the views and outdoor space. Sunsets were so beautiful over the mountains. Over all would recommend this property. Things we noticed during our stay that we recommend host adds. All 3 smoke detectors and fire extinguisher were missing from the property. We recommend laundry detergent so we could wash the towels as we stayed 3 nights. We found white dog hair on the couch. The dishes were not the most clean. But for the price we were satisfied.

Pretty Location
Great view. We only stayed overnight, so didn’t get a chance to explore. This house is in a neighborhood, so if you’re looking for someplace out of the way, this wouldn’t be for you.

Fabulous Mountain View
We loved the mountain location and the gorgeous view. We didn’t see the specific driving directions provided by the host before we headed up…and definitely suggest you access your booking confirmation before arrival. A little turning around and we arrived. The deck with the firepit and seating is so welcoming. We saw the other review about steps leading up and it is no joke. They are steep and shallow. Our mom almost joined the trip last minute and it’s good she didn’t; with her mobility issues the stairs would be a no go and we would have been faced with a dilemma of finding a new place to stay. Denny was very welcoming and responded to all our questions timely. We happened to see him on arrival and he was very friendly and accommodating. The listing shows 2 queen beds and a double futon; but there are 2 bedrooms with queen beds and an “L” shaped couch in the main family room and a small couch in the sunroom (3 walls of windows-no shades) So fortunately we weren’t trying to sleep 6 adults…just 2 adults (sisters) and two kids who could share the couch or sleep with mom/auntie. We did notice a smell that a couple past guests noted in their reviews (May and Nov). It’s a little musty/mildew smell but improved with the doors and windows open for a bit. We also noticed a smoke/cigarette smell and couldn’t tell if maybe someone in the lower apartment smokes and the smell has wafted up. It was worse in closets and bathrooms. Well decorated and spacious. Cute place!

Cute if you have low expectations
Let me start by saying the location is perfect! Everything was within a 10-15 minute drive which was very convenient. But, the directions weren’t clear and we arrived at night so locating the entrance was challenging. Several bugs, dead and alive, and the listing is deceiving because it says 2 bathrooms but it’s really 1 1/2 because the one bathroom in the bedroom didn’t have a tub or shower. Also, lots or dirty dishes were in the cupboard. Looks like they may have been run through the dishwater but no one looked at them. I re-washed EVERYTHING we used. Plenty towels, tissue, and paper towels. Overall, it worked but based on the price I was expecting more, and the stairs were a beast.

No one told it was 14 steps up if you're + 65 it's hard to get up also the smell was bad had to buy spray and candles neighborhood was not very good

Not sure what the guest smelled. I would love to hear an elaboration so that we may take corrective action. However no one else has mentioned something similar

Dirty & Disappointed
Walked into residence after struggling to find driveway. Entrance dirty, smelled awful, food crumbs on a remnant rug that’s filthy, furniture in need of dumpster, bathroom gross would never take shower in it. We stayed less than 10 minutes and rented hotel for 3 days. Contacted host and waiting on some kind of refund. Run! This place shouldn’t be available to rent.

Restful and Restorative
We needed a place for quiet and rest following a Family Funeral. The property and accommodations were clean and comfortable. The location was a little confusing, but I'm unsure how you could explain it any better. It just took us some time to figure out where to park since it was our first visit. Creamer and sugar for coffee would have been greatly appreciated, but we loved our stay! Really no complaints. Thanks so much!

Christmas in the Mountains
The coziest place I’ve been to in a long time! Me and my husband first time in Chattanooga and it didn’t disappoint us! Amazon views of the mountains. Take a trip to Rock City amazing! House has wooden floors so a little cool at times we’re socks! Delores who lives below is as away as pie and very helpful. You have to get to the driveway from the back side of the house steep hill beware! Owner Danny communicates well if any problems. Best contribute is the fire pit!

Great place to stay!
The property was clean & well stocked with everything we needed. The host was great to reply to any questions. We enjoyed the deck and gas fire pit. If you are coming in at night after dark ask for detailed instructions on how to find the back of the house. It can be a little confusing. We didn’t have any trouble with following his directions rather than the GPS. We would definitely stay again.

Wonderful stay
We really enjoyed our stay! If we had an issue the host/owner was quick and happy to handle it. The home was older but well kept. Great location with a great outdoor space. The owner is on site with another tenant.

Think twice
We came for a wedding in Chattanooga. I would not recommend this place. First, we had trouble getting there using gps, because the property has 2 entrances. One of them is out of commission. Property was in a rural/industrial neighborhood, I certainly wouldn’t feel comfortable walking around. From the listing, I was unaware someone would be living downstairs as well. The inside of the property has a lot of bugs and human hair. Kitchen was filthy and we put throw blankets on the beds and couch because they had stains and hair on them. If I went back to Chattanooga, I would just stay in a hotel downtown. The neighborhoods were too unsavory.

Quick stop over
Made a quick stop over at this property on the way to Disney. Nice quiet place up on the hill. Easy check in. Has everything you need. Host was very easy to talk with and gave us everything we needed. It is a 2nd story home with someone that lives below you. Note very steep staircase to get into the home. If that is a problem you can still walk around to the house to get to the front door.

Overall the accommodations were ok
The only major complaint was that the place had a strong odor of bug spray when you walk in and there were ants in the kitchen everywhere. Couldn’t leave any food on the counter or dishes in the sink. 10 minutes later you look and the dishes are covered in ants.

We liked the proximity to downtown. It's in a safe area and the cottage was fully equipped for our needs. However the cleaniness has to improve including changing the air filter, cleaning the air ducts, the shower curtain and the beddings. The property has rental potential if the above is corrected and implemented.

Short Family Vacation
The house was very nice and clean and all of the instructions were easy to follow. Although, maybe there should have been a more accurate description of how physically challenging it is to access this property. The entrance is on the second floor with a very steep, metal set of stairs to climb. Two of us have mobility issues and the stairs were quite hard to negotiate. The 7:30 am "construction" wake-up call on our first morning was also enlightening, since we were, in fact, on vacation. Overall, we had a nice stay. Thank you for your hospitality.

Perfect place for our weekend getaway!!!
Spacious, clean, home with great amenities. Was perfect for our weekend getaway for Mother's Day!!! We went to a concert at Finley Stadium and it was the perfect proximity to downtown. The owner was on the property and was super helpful and friendly. The neighborhood surrounding the property is a bit sketchy but we felt safe at the home. We would definitely stay again when we are in Chattanooga. Thank you Dennis!!!

Nice apartment
This was a nice, clean, little place to stay. Check in and check out was easy and the owner was nice. The only difficulty was finding the driveway which is accessed by a separate street. Overall it was a nice stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

Has potential but needs better cleaning
1st off, the listing says to enter from 17th St. However, not being from the area, we followed the GPS directions and then struggled to find 17th st bc it was pitch black outside and the mountainous roads were quite treacherous due to the steep angles and narrowness. No fault of the property. We called the number listed, left a message, and never received a return phone call. When we finally found the back entrance, we were able to let ourselves in without a problem. There is a strange smell in the house. The house, itself is cute and cutely decorated. The kitchen counters still had food left on them from previous guests. The frig is not what I cared to use, either. It also was not up to par with my cleanliness expectations. We did NOT use the kitchen for anything. The tub, which is not pictured in any photos, should be refinished or replaced. It appears to have been painted and is chipping paint like crazy. It's old and pretty cruddy looking. There was also poop stuck inside the toilet from a previous guest. The master bathroom had black curly hair stuck behind the faucet. GROSS! The mattresses, although new, are VERY hard memory foam and not good for sleeping. My kids actually slept on the L-shaped couch bc the bed was so hard. Again, the house has potential. We paid a fair price for the house, but the housekeeping needs to be improved especially since we are paying for expert cleaning in between guests. The area, itself, is quiet and we had no issues with that.

Charming Home
Very nice home, lots of space. Kitchen has everything you need. Wish it was warmer so we could have enjoyed the deck. We would stay here again. Steep stairs could be an issue for some, especially with luggage. Parking is in the back off another street.

Charming hideaway with romantic flare
Spacious layout, tucked away on a ridge above town. Romantic view of Lookout Mountain from beautiful deck with lava rock fireplace. We enjoyed hanging out in the sun room as well!

Just passing through
This was a last minute reservation on our way through to Gatlinburg. We we excited to find a place on short notice for just the night at such an affordable price. The place was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Much better than other hotel options. The deck with fire pit made our night.
