Inland Waterways Retreat! On Cheboygan River, inside Strawberry Island Canal!

Location, Location, Location!!

Welcome to our home, located on the Strawberry Island Canal, part of the Cheboygan River and the Famous Inland Waterways is open for your vacation destination!

This home offers 3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms, a spacious living room area, a flat screen TV with sound bar and free unlimited Wi-Fi service!

There is a king size bed in the master bedroom, a large walk-in closet and a master bathroom. The second bedroom offers a queen size bed while the third bedroom has a set of full size bunk beds. We also have a pack and play for the little ones and (1) queen size air mattress with bedding, if needed. There are small dressers/stands with mirrors, closets, and sound machines in all of the bedrooms!

In the kitchen you’ll find granite countertops, new appliances and is fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans, utensils, a toaster, griddle, cutting boards, wine glasses, and more!

Off the kitchen and thru the sliding glass doors, you’ll find yourself stepping out onto the brand new furnished back deck with a hot tub, grill and beautiful views of the River!

The spacious back yard offers 160' of private access to the canal. Bringing a boat or renting one? Perfect! You’ll have access to our private dock! You’ll find a fire pit out in the yard near the canal where you can roast marshmallows, sip on a drink, or simply relax in the chairs provided, (or take a nap in one of the two hammocks) while enjoying the views and sounds of the water and wildlife!

This beautiful setting is peaceful, quiet and only seconds away from all the action of the Cheboygan River and Mullet Lake!

You’ll find 2 kayaks with paddles and life jackets in the garage for your enjoyment along with a large Water Lilly pad! We also provide several beach chairs and lots of beach towels!

There’s plenty of ample parking space in the driveway, in addition to the 2 car garage!

We do provide all linens, towels, extra blankets, toilet paper, paper towel, laundry soap, fabric softener, dish soap, and more!

We are within walking distance to the North Eastern State Trails for biking & hiking in warmer weather and snowmobiling in the winter!

This is the perfect place for an up north getaway, all year round!

The house was very well appointed, very clean and comfortable. We brought our boat and went all the way to Burt Lake to Bois Blanc and Mackinaw Islands (different days) The location was peaceful, beautiful easy to navigate and the hot tub was a perfect way to end (or start) a cool fall day. Within driving distance to so many great areas as well. The hosts were fantastic! We would certainly stay here again.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay here. Our hosts made sure we had an open line of communication in case we needed anything, but everything there was as advertised and we had not one issue. The house was clean and welcoming, the view was amazing, the hot tub was clean and easy to use, and we could not have asked for a better experience.

The home was perfect for two couples. The kitchen was very well equiped with just about anything you would need to prepare a meal. The living room furniture was very comfortable for watching a movie after a day of sight seeing or outdoor activities. Complimentary popcorn was a nice touch! Only wish we had more time to use the kayaks and hot tub.

The home was absolutely perfect! We all felt so welcomed. The location was ideal, nice dock as we brought a boat, an added bonus that the location was close to a launch. The hot tub was nice after a cooler day on the water. The home was stocked with all the little things which was appreciated.

We enjoyed a late May/early June stay. House was great, amenities were accurate. We took advantage of the two kayaks as well as our own paddle boards on the river. The house has waterfront in front of the Strawberry Island, which was perfect for a short circle paddle. The main river does not have a strong current so it’s easy to go up/down the river to explore and even get to Mullet lake. We spotted large fish, turtles, frogs etc along the river. The house also has a large dock that could accommodate your own boat. The river bottom wasn’t very deep, maybe a few feet off the dock but the bottom was a bit mucky but still swimmable. Just really cold still at that time of year. House was stocked with coffee, which was nice, and pretty much most of what you’d need to cook. I’d recommend brings few of your own containers for leftover. The place accommodated 6 verify comfortably. Hot tub was great, extra towels were provided and laundry on site was a big plus. The only thing to be aware is the master bathroom doesnt have a door, which isn’t a huge deal but it kind of made it so out of the 6 of us only the 2 staying in the MBR used it, leaving 4 to share the other bath.Overall this one is still a winner.

What a great place to stay you’re right in the middle of mullet Lake Lake Huron, and a beautiful river. The house was immaculate. Well stocked everything you could ask for.

Excellent property, excellent host

Great location, very clean, the grandkids and us had a terrific stay. The kids fished and swam from the dock, we all enjoyed the hot tub. Appliances and furniture in great shape, excellent location on the edge of town, and close to many attractions. Host is an extremely good communicator, would stay again without hesitation

Excellent stay!

There are 6 adults (all 60 yes old) in our party. This year we didn't have the rec boat, just the fishing boat. Theh had a new dock. The location is perfect, a small canal just off the Cheboygan River. Close to Mullet Lake and Lake Huron. Everything is clean and we didn't want for anything! Very comfortable inside and a lovely deck available for outside. Cant go wrong! The hosts are great!

Beautiful place!

The home was very clean. It was stocked nicely. We had 3 couples and the bedrooms were all nice size. Loved having the garage for the guys fishing tackle. The deck and yard were well maintained and very inviting! Would definitely book again!

Relaxing stay, well appointed home!

Melissa thought of everything her guest's comfort and needs in this updated and comfortably furnished home. The kitchen was well stocked, more dishes and glassware than we have ever seen in a rental home! Plenty of towels, paper products, even Kcups, popcorn and seasonings were available. A relaxing and quiet location with use of the garage being a nice perk as well! Thank you so much!!!

Perfect Location

We had a wonderful stay! The quiet neighborhood was perfect with bike trails just down the road. We loved that the canal was shallow and didn’t see a lot of boat traffic which allowed the kids to kayak and play in the water safely. We brought our fishing boat and enjoyed putting along the canal out to the lake. It was just a few minute car trip in to Cheboygan and only about a half hour to Mackinaw City. The home was clean and cozy and perfect for our family get-away. We would come back!

Perfect location and lots of amenities

Our group as a whole was impressed with the entire stay. The house was clean and the property is perfect for those who want to hang out by the river and float on tubes or who want to sit on the back deck, enjoy the view and soak in the hot tub. The host was also extremely responsive to all questions. We had the best time and certainly give this property 5 out 5 stars!

Great Inland water way getaway !

The house was perfect for a boat weekend. We came via boat without truck and trailer. The dock was adequate to tie up our 25’ triton. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The hot tub was a wonderful touch after a rather cold and rainy boat ride back from Mackinac Island! We will be back! Great rental !

What a wonderful property! The house was beautifully decorated and well accommodated with everything we needed. Great house!

Wonderful house and property! Great river spot off on a quiet and peaceful canal. Weather was chilly so we didn’t have a chance to swim but the hot tub was perfect. Clean and well stocked house and the owner was very helpful and accommodating. We’ll be back!
