“We went for a short break, to meet up with other family members. The cottage was very clean, beautiful kitchen, bathroom, the owner had thought of everything, and gave us a lovely hamper. Nice friendly pub, 2 mins away. Bus stop, 2 mins away. Location good too!”

“Very clean, excellent area, great hosts, lovely little hamper of welcome goodies. All facilities you would need for a short break. Only thing lacking was outdoor space but we were made aware of this and as it was a short break not a problem. Would definitely stay there again.”

“Everyone should visit Manor House and West Bexington. Quiet, personal and good for your soul. The rooms (or the room we had) had a somewhat poorer standard than the common areas. But net and clean and I had the best night sleep at Manor House during my vacation. Staff and locals made you feel at home and cared for at the best way possible. ”

“A lovely one night stay. The pub is in a quiet village location, close to lots of interesting places in beautiful Dorset countryside. Our room was large, with an equally large bathroom. We ate in the pub in the evening. The menu choice was good, prices reasonable and the food was excellent. We had our breakfast served outside in the garden and, again, this was tasty, hot and really enjoyable. Thoroughly recommended.”

“The Old Ship Inn is the perfect place to stay during our trip to Dorchester and surrounding area. It’s a gorgeous Inn tucked into a very special old pub. Our room was very clean, and the beds were super comfortable. We will be coming back here for sure. ”
