“The room was very clean and comfortable. No air conditioning but there was a powerful fan which worked well in 25 degrees. Our only gripe was no milk in the room for tea/coffee. We could have asked downstairs but just had black tea. All in all, a good stay and we will return.”

“This hotel is not comfortable. No elevator, and thin curtains. A lot of light from the windows wakes you up at sunrise. Bathroom dirty and with bad smell. Good breakfast, and free parking. Dinner restaurant with limited choice and expensive for the quality and service”

“I paid full board including the evening meals as a birthday treat for my wife, which was quite a bit extra, but at the end of our stay they charged me again for dinners. The receptionist said that becouse I had not booked directly through them I was not entitled to do this, which ment paying twice for the meals, and that I was misinformed by the waitress who had said that the meals would be deducted from my final bill. The staff where very nice but didn't seem to know much about this situation...

“Overall this hotel suited our needs as we were visiting Colchester Zoo. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The air conditioner in our room did not cool properly.”

“Good location for Ipswich, room was very clean. Window's were not very good! Old style double glazing. Shower was not very good, no control on temperature and no pressure. Mattress was okay but could do with a new one.”
