Large private villa with swimming pool in Sicily

Located in the Hyblaean Mountains in south-east Sicily, Villa Bibiana is a large country estate with a swimming pool, tennis court, oil mill, vineyard, and a chapel (with Sunday Mass). Ideally suited for group holidays or special events, the villa combines a historical setting with modern conveniences, and it is within easy driving distance of the UNESCO world heritage cities of theVal di Noto and the sea.

The villa consists of a main house organised into three independent suites (interconnected as needed) and five cottages overlooking a courtyard.

MAIN HOUSE (sleeps 12)

The main house (350 sqm) consists of three suites, a well-equipped communal kitchen and dining room and a spacious shared terrace.
The first suite consists of a bright living room (with double sofa bed) with a balcony, a reading area, and a fridge/coffee corner. In the sleeping area you will find one large double bedroom (with double bed) with ensuite bathroom (with shower).

The second suite consists of a living/dining room and a well-equipped kitchen (with fridge and washing machine). In the sleeping area you will find one double bedroom (with double bed) with ensuite bathroom (with shower) and dressing room (with bed for small child), one twin bedroom (with two single beds that can be converted to a double), one single bedroom (with single bed) and an external bathroom with shower (close to the kitchen in the main house).

The third suite consists of a reading area, a fridge/coffee corner, one double bedroom (with double bed) and one bathroom (with shower).

COTTAGES (Sleeps 14 + 7)

Around the courtyard, you will find five cottages that once housed the sharecropping families that worked on the estate. Each cottage has a sleeping area, a kitchen/living area, and an outdoor terrace. The kitchen includes essentials items such as a fridge, hob, coffee machine and kettle (other items can be added on request). Guests staying in the cottages can use the laundry and ironing room in the main house.

The first cottage (45 sqm) consists of a living/dining room (with single sofa bed suitable for a child up to 14 years old) with a well-equipped kitchen (with fridge and gas hob), and a small furnished veranda. In the sleeping area, you will find one double bedroom (with double bed) and one bathroom (with shower).

The second cottage (65 sqm) consists of a living room, kitchen (with fridge and gas hob) and a furnished area on the courtyard. In the sleeping area, you will find a triple bedroom (with double bed and single sofa bed), a twin bedroom (with two single beds) and one bathroom (with shower).

The third cottage (65 sqm) consists of a living/dining room with a well-equipped kitchen (with fridge and gas hob and single sofa bed), and a furnished veranda. In the sleeping area, you will find one double bedroom (with double bed), one twin bedroom (with two single beds) and one bathroom (with shower).

The fourth cottage (55 sqm) consists of a large open plan room (ideal for families with small children) with a dining area, (with table that seats 4), one single sofa bed, a double bed and one bathroom (with shower). You will also find a separate kitchen (with fridge and gas hob) and a furnished veranda. Another bed can be added on request.

The fifth cottage (55 sqm) consists of living/dining area (with a table seating four and two single sofa beds, better for children as the bathroom is ensuite to the double bedroom), a kitchen area (with fridge and gas hob) and a shady outside veranda. In the sleeping area, you will find one double bedroom (with double bed) with ensuite bathroom (with shower).

Outside, you will find 25 hectares of land with a large garden featuring a swimming pool (12m x 6m; depth 1.6m - 2.5m; open 1 April - 15 November) surrounded by a sun terrace (with sun loungers) and a furnished terrace for al fresco dining. You will also find a 19th century chapel (with Sunday Mass), and ancient oil mill and a tennis court.
