The floor boards in the bathroom were warping. The cleaning staff mopped but there was hair still on the floor. We had hair on our bedding that wasn’t ours. The bathtub had a I believe it was a rust stain. Overall a good place to stay if you don’t require much but not a good place to stay if you plan on spending half the day there. Personally I rate it a 3/5 but my family wasn’t too happy with it.

The room smelled of nothing but smoke and marijuana the room also looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned. Lots of ppl hanging out on the stairs some seem to be homeless.

The staff was friendly and it was very convenient for the purposes of our visit. The room looked clean on the first sight but the floor was not clean, the socks got pet’s hair.

When we arrived they placed us in smoking room and we should have been in non smoking, they front desk staff changed our room and put us in another smoking room so we had to change a again. Overall the property is a little sketchy.

The room was about 100 degrees, reeked of smoke. People hanging around outside with their dogs on the loose. Bedding was stained and dirty. OH and they charged me twice for the room that I stayed in for maybe an hour.

Unbelievably bad. They first gave me a room that had people in it. The second one they gave me HAVE NOT BEEN CLEANED after the last guest and one of the beds was not made. I tried changing it again but they only offered to upgrade to a more expensive room. Either the radiator or the pipes were doing an awful hanmer-like noice all night, I killed at least ten cockroaches during the night and the towels had black and yellow stains all over them. Overall felt very unsafe, don't recommend it at all.

Basic Hotel stay
I booked the Red Roof inn because it was priced a little higher than the budget properties, but I received a budget property experience. The room reeked of cleaning solution, but I was able to use the AC unit to freshen up the room. Bed was comfortable, and the shower was hot. Good for just me, but not for the wife's standards.

Hotel was not very courteous about after driving on the road a long time getting there late having to use the bathroom they had no bathroom for me to use and then the key for the room did not work I almost defecated on myself running back and forth trying to find a key that would open the door. I would never ever stay at that Red Roof again.

The room had a strong smell of cigarettes which gave me a bad migraine. The experience was horrible even while spraying the order eliminator the smell was still strong. and the sheets were stained. The building is poorly maintained. I was only able to sleep there one night out of 5 days and I couldn't breathe well I had to finish sleeping in my vehicle. The area around apear to be safe but the hotel didn't look safe at all

Super unclean! Smelling mold all over 2 units we had booked! No refrigerator, no microwave, no hair fan, in both rooms. Rooms were old, very strong mold odor, sheets seemed unchanged and one of the beds was not in line fixed properly. Also, phone didnt work to call front desk, neither other room to room. In other words very dissapointed! Never again in red roof! At the end I did mention these things to the front desk when checking out and the guy didnt even react or care at all....disaster experience

Low-end for name brand hotel
Pretty low-end hotel for a name brand. Our room smelled of cigarettes, and the check-in was confusing. The best part was the shuttle service to the airport. Our driver was friendly and helpful!

After the fourth roach skittered down the wall in our room, we booked a new place, packed our bags and left. I've stayed at Red Roof Inns before and found them clean and comfortable, so I was really surprised when I walked in our room and found stains all over the quilt and sheets and met the roach brigade. At the very least this place needs a good exterminator.

Possibly the worst place I’ve ever stayed. I actually extended my stay at the hotel next door this was so bad. The room was filthy. There was a pill on the floor when I arrived. Refrigerator just out on the floor and it buzzed loudly all night. There are a lot of permanent residents here that scream and fight. Ice machines broken and permanent residents take up all of the laundry machines 24/7. No housekeeping in 6 days. Red roof inns are usually a pretty decent choice on the road, but this was gross.

The room served its purpose, which was a cheap stay near Chicago, but even for a cheap motel, this was pretty bad. One of the bed frames in our room was broken, the air conditioner didn’t really work, and the bathroom floor clearly had extensive water damage. What was worst though was that they clearly do not clean - our feet turned black from walking around barefoot, we found other people’s trash under the beds, housekeeping services were not attempted during our stay. If you’re really desperate, it was a safe place to stay, but by far the dirtiest motel room I’ve ever seen.
