Non rispondevano le mail per darci la indicazione di come aprire le porte ed entrare.Eravamo abandonati a noi stessi. Quindi l'ultima notte non siano riusciti a dormire perché 4 ragazze hanno fatto casino TUTTA la notte, e noi dovevamo alzarci alle 5 di mattino per andare all'aeroporto. Le abbiamo spiegato e pregato per un poco di silenzio e nulla, é stato uno sfinimento. Non c'era la diferenziata per la spazzatura. Ho quasi rotto l'osso della tibia contro il letto assurdamente sporgente lateralmente. Non evavamo mail avuto un'esperienza simile. Non raccomando a nessuno.

The room I was given was on the third floor. Building entry vestibule for second and third floors is small but manageable if you don't have much luggage. The room itself is a good size. The location is great for events at McCormick place, a short walk from a major bus route. The lightrail is easy to reach by walking or a short bus ride to the White Sox baseball stadium.

Would not recommend. There are many things I did not like about the property but the two biggest things were they left our room unlocked all day the day before we left. Anyone staying on property could've come in and rummaged through our stuff. Second the bed was horrible and you could hear everything through the walls. We were woken up early every morning by the other tenants and they were definitely not following house rules.

All our rooms have a lock and designated keys for all guests that they can take with them in case they want to go out. Just like any other hotel/motel rooms it is the responsibility of the guest to lock their rooms and take the keys with them for safe keeping of their stuff.2. All our beds are upgraded and comfortable, this is the first time we are getting a review that the beds are not good.3. All important information pertaining to our guesthouse is disclosed on all booking platform. We note that the house is shared, we always try our best to inform our guests of the house rules especially the quiet hours.Thank you.

Luckily the owners responded really quickly when telling them.about the rotten produce left behind. All in all it worked for the night. Would be great for a group to rent each room, commons are nice but awkward for strangers.

We actually enjoyed this property It was conveniently located next to transportation just a couple of blocks walk. Saving on parking there is a parking spot relatively just in front of the unit. We plan on staying there every time we come to Chicago.

A lot of bugs (mostly dead except one giant cockroach), walls were very thin. Could hear upstairs and next door all night. The toilet paper was remarkably thin. The bed was fine but the sheets were starchy. A washcloth would have been nice.

Not a hotel
I expected a small hotel or bed and breakfast, but it really is a hostel - albeit one where I never saw another person. I should have read the details and guessed from the shared bathroom. All contact was by text. I made it into the house fine but there were supposed to be keys in my bedroom door 201. I tried calling but the message said to call the emergency number given in the text - but there was no such number. I texted and eventually got a response and figured out that the guest for 202 had probably come and claimed 201 instead, so I should take 202. . “Weird”. They asked if there were keys on 202. The house and room are clean, though the bed was itchy until I removed particle from the sheets. Overall it was not a pleasant stay and definitely way overpriced.

Booked this place and within 10 minutes of booking I need to cancel for a family emergency. They refused to refund and still charged me even tho I didn’t stay here. When I asked for refund they said I needed to contact hotels.com to get refund which I did. Hotels had to contact them to issue refund but they refused. Terrible people.

The floors were dirty. There were things mentioned that were said to be available but were nowhere to be found — including like extra blankets in a closet, but there was no closet in the room I stayed; and earplugs in the bathroom, but there were none.

The bathroom we were in room 302 is not as we liked. Water does not come out properly out of shower.

The bathroom rug was shoddy and dirty. Saw a few small bugs in the bathroom sink. The shower had no water pressure. Saw a couple of ants in the bedroom. The exterior had rust on the stairs. And initially I was given a code for someone else's room. Not a good experience. Couldn't even stay. Poor customer service for a place with so many restrictions.

I never checked in....this place is a rip off. I mad a mistake on the dates of my stay and within 5 minutes of booking it I was told couldn't make changes and was charged for the whole stay even without ever stepping on the property. This is a scam!!!

I wish I had read the most recent reviews before booking. I indeed was duped into booking this place. Firstly, a complaint on the cleanliness. The floors and rug in the room were dirty and sadly I had forgotten to bring my slippers. The bed sheets had someone else’s hair all over it and in it. The grey pillow had a suspicious stain on it. Luckily I brought a lint roller for the hair, but still, gross. Secondly, the temperature got pretty cold at night and there is no temperature control. Thirdly, I booked for 2 guests for 2 nights and there were only 2 towels provided. No hand towel or washcloth for the bathroom. I asked if there were extra towels and was told only 2 for each stay. Fourthly, the shower looks so nice in the pictures with a rainfall shower head, but the shower door does not close and the water takes awhile to warm up. All in all, I checked-out early after just 1 night.

Not recommended. Place has not staff on site. Communication is delayed and limited to text message and email only. Phone communication not possible. Place is also not very clean (hair in shower, towels have stains)

Excellent Stay!!!
Villa Dubois is a very comfortable & convenient place to stay. Very clean, quiet, and responsive. I was in town on business & really wanted to stay longer but they were already booked. Only thing missing is a tv in the rooms. Definitely recommend to anyone. I don't see why anyone would leave a bad review. This place is awesome!!! thank you
