The Rock House - a family house that sleeps 8 guests in 3 bedrooms

  • The Rock House is a lovely three-bedroom house in the centre of East Wittering village and just a short distance to the fabulous stretches of sandy beaches. East Wittering is a charming village on the water with lots of independent local shops including a bakery, two butchers, greengrocers and some lovely gift shops.

    The Rock House in Wittering is ideal for a fun family holiday in the summer or a romantic autumn break for a couple, the sandy beach is as appealing in the summer as it is in the winter.

    As you enter The Rock House you are greeted with a large open plan living and kitchen area. The living room is equipped with a log burner, a smart TV and a comfy sofa. The sunny and spacious dining and kitchen area has a dining table, a sofa and a fully equipped kitchen including a kettle, toaster, 2 ovens, a gas hob, a Nespresso Magimix coffee machine and a dishwasher. There are stable doors leading into a utility room with a washing machine, a tumble dryer and a downstairs WC.
    Through the Bi-fold doors, there is a family friendly garden with a trampoline, fire pit area with cosy seating.

    Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms, a double bedroom with a shower room en suite, a second double room and a bunk bed room with 2 bunk beds, a perfect room for the children! There is also a family bathroom with shower over bath.

    Please note, this property is only suitable for 4 adults and 4 children.

Great spot!

Lovely house. Lots of room for 2 couples with 2 kids and great outside space. Can walk to E wittering and v easy to get to West by car.

Lovely House

Lovely house, big living space, well equipped kitchen, although there is no microwave. Everything as described. Short walk to East Wittering shops. Short drive to West Wittering beach.

Rock Cottage Review

Lovely last minute break although a little disappointed no milk was provided as after a long journey it would have been nice to at least not have to go out straight away to get essentials. Stair carpet could do with replacing as a little worn and a hairdryer would have been useful (not something I pack when going away). Location ideal as you don’t need the car if exploring the area. A couple of comfortable garden chairs would have been nice aswell. Otherwise a really pleasant stay.

Great family house

The house is clean, very comfortable and very well kitted out. Kitchen includes essentials like salt, pepper, dish washing powder etc. The carpet on the stairs and upstairs is a little tired but that suited us - means we were less worried about kids damaging it ☺️. The house is on an estate and seems far from the beach but only a 3 minute drive/ 12 minute walk.

A great house in a lovely location

We enjoyed being so closed to East Wittering beach and the village centre. The house was well kitted out with everything we needed and the kids loved the trampoline! The weather was very warm during our stay so a couple of fans would have made it more comfortable but we managed without. It was a shame the cleaner didn’t come prior to our arrival. The lady who came was very sweet and did her cleaning around us getting tired small children to bed. The house probably needs more than a 2 hour clean to be really set up for next guests though. The convenience of the beaches and cafes and shops nearby made this a really easy holiday for us. Thanks!
