It had been a couple of years since we last stayed at this hotel. Back then it was a old but clean and quaint place to stay with excellent service. This trip, it was a run-down motel with little concern shown for guest comfort. Air conditioning that fell short, a pool that looked like pea soup, ice for sale (if the machine wasn’t broken), unclean and damaged flooring, overpriced, and if you are allergic to cats, stay out of the office as several cats live there and lay and play about the office. In room coffee station didn’t have cups and the balcony furniture was rotten. Office is only open business hours, don’t expect much assistance then. Bring your own toilet paper! I paid 187.58 for one room x 2.
There are several people working on Cesar Key that believe the owner (who lives further south in Florida) doesn’t care anymore. Pictures don’t do the disrepair of floors, doors, bathrooms, electrical outlets the horror they deserve. I’m surprised it has not been condemned.
