“We have been coming to this Marriott property annually to visit our grandchildren and when we arrived, they said the pool was closed for deep cleaning when in fact it was a broken pump and every day we were told was being fixed and never was until our last night there. They had a note on the pool saying due to anyone inconvenience please ask at the front desk for special accommodations. I spoke with Kathey the manager and asked if we could switch to another room as the fold our couch was like...

“The rooms were fine, I had issues with television and clothes dryer, staff did address the issue following my request. We did need to check out one day early and were denied a refund on our bill because reservations were made through a third party stating they are not able to accommodate this request. When I attempted to contact initially, I was not able to contact directly therefore requiring me to secure reservation through another source. The request to check out early was provided 48 hours...

“The hotel is nice and the staff helpful, but there were a pair of eyelashes stuck to the nightstand and candy wrappers at the edge of the bed when we first got in the room. However our biggest issue was the homeless guy banging on the upstairs railing and yelling at 330 am waking us up. We decided to pack and leave and when my husband went downstairs to put our bags in the car, a homeless guy (not sure if it was the same one that woke us up) was looking in the windows of the cars in the lot. ...

“Terrific place to stay when you are engaging with U of A and any local businesses. Very centrally located and easy to access anything in the are of the university. One word of caution: parking is at a premium in the area. Very little street parking available. Garage parking is $23 a night while valet is $28. It was a bit unstructured when we arrived late on a week day, which is being kind. Your mileage may vary. Everything else was spot on. Refurbished Embassy Suites building it appears....
