Agli Archi Eco House: Sustainable and fragrance-free house in central Chieti

Historic house renovated with a sustainable, minimalist, and pop art design, located in the heart of Chieti’s old town. The house dates back to the 19th century and extends over multiple floors. On the first floor, there is a fully equipped kitchen featuring a dishwasher, gas stove with hood, microwave, coffee machine, moka pot, electric broom, dining table with chairs, and TV. Everything you need for cooking is provided, including cutlery and reusable bags for grocery shopping in the neighborhood.

The kitchen was handcrafted by hand, custom-made using reclaimed materials.
On the second floor there are the bedroom, bathroom, living room, and walk-in closet.
The bedroom is equipped with a double mattress, topper, and pillows, all with anti-dust-mite covers to reduce the risk of allergies. There is a chest of drawers, a mirror, bedside tables with LED lamps, a spacious safe with a customizable numeric keypad that can hold a laptop, and a workspace with a small table and chair.

The bedroom also includes a house manual with house rules and instructions for using the home appliances, available in multiple languages to make your stay easier.
We provide 100% cotton bed linen and towels for the duration of your stay.
The living room features a sofa bed that converts into a 104 cm single bed, suitable for one adult or two children. An additional single bed can also be added upon request.
The living room also includes a 55" OLED smart TV with Ambilight lighting, a chest of drawers, a mirror, and a small table.

From the living room you can access the walk-in closet, which includes a clothes rack with hangers and shelves. There is also a scale for weighing luggage.
The bathroom is equipped with a shower, WC, bidet, washbasin, bathroom cabinet with an adjustable LED-lit mirror, and a hairdryer.
The house also features a cozy corner with books (including some in English) and board games for relaxing days at home.

On the ground floor there is the property’s internal laundry room. As we maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene and follow a fragrance-free philosophy, we personally take care of washing the linens.
Due to limited space, as this is an old house, we have made a washing machine available for guests to use during their stay, with detergents provided by the property. This room also includes a clothes drying rack and a vertical steam iron.

The home’s sustainable philosophy is reflected in the choices made: handcrafted furniture made from reclaimed materials; low-VOC renovation products; LED lighting throughout the house; A-class appliances; reduced energy waste; the use of eco-friendly, fragrance-free cleaning and hygiene products that respect both the environment and guests; anti-dust-mite covers for mattresses and pillows; 100% cotton bed linen and towels; independent heating with a condensing boiler; air conditioning in the bedroom and living room; an internal laundry with latest-generation appliances designed to reduce waste; and a strict no-smoking, no-vaping, and no-fragrance policy.


The house is a FRAGRANCE-FREE environment, designed to reduce the risk of sensitivity for people with asthma and allergies. Smoking, vaping, and the use of sprays, air fresheners, and scented candles are strictly prohibited.
To keep the environment free of fragrances, we provide all cleaning products for the house, as well as detergents for the dishwasher and washing machine. Scented products may not be used, in order to avoid contaminating the appliances.
For your stay, we also provide a complimentary courtesy kit of eco-friendly, fragrance-free personal care products.

All items provided in the house are to be considered a complimentary welcome kit, including toilet paper.
During the stay, guests are responsible for purchasing what they need, such as food and beverages, toilet paper, and any other necessities.
There is a grocery store near the house, and a supermarket less than one kilometer away.
The municipality practices waste separation, so we have provided bins to sort trash accordingly. We also provide a complimentary welcome kit with sponges and biodegradable bags for organic waste.

Several restaurants are located directly below the house. Just a short walk away is Corso Marruccino, the city’s main street, where you will find a Cialde&Co shop to purchase coffee pods for the coffee machine (please ask for pods compatible with the Lavazza Espresso Point system).
Upon request and with prior authorization, one dog is allowed in the house (cats are not permitted). The dog may not be left alone in the house and is not allowed on sofas or beds. Any damage or extra cleaning required will be charged, as well as any damage to the property or furnishings.

Check-in and check-out are in person only for key handover and return. Upon arrival, guests must sign the short-term rental contract, complete and sign the registration forms, and provide a copy of a valid ID (European ID card or passport) for each guest, including children and infants. Payment of the tourist tax is also required.
All bureaucratic requirements are mandatory and comply with current regulations.

The house is located in a ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone), as it is in the historic city center. For this reason, access through the city gate is restricted.
If the ZTL light sign is red, access is closed. If the sign is green, access is permitted and you may enter briefly to unload luggage.
If the light is red, entry is strictly forbidden. Entering will result in a fine. Avoid the fine! Do not enter Porta Pescara if the light is red.**
In that case, you must park in the surrounding streets.

Parking can be challenging, but the great advantage of the house is its location in the historic center, allowing you to reach all museums and the city’s main attractions on foot, as well as wander through the narrow, ancient alleys.

Our home is an ideal strategic base for exploring the beauty of Abruzzo: its lakes, mountains, and ski resorts where you can ski while overlooking the sea (for example, from the Majella), as well as castles, medieval villages, natural parks and marine reserves, fully equipped beaches, and the famous Costa dei Trabocchi.

House's rules:

Check-in: from 2:00 PM onwards
Check-out: by 10:00 AM on the day of departure
Upon arrival, guests must sign the short-term rental agreement and the privacy notice before receiving the keys, pay the tourist tax, and provide a copy of valid ID for each guest.

The house is located in a ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone): parking inside the square is not allowed without authorization.
The house is not accessible for guests with mobility difficulties or wheelchairs. There are no child safety protections; children must always be supervised.

Cleaning

Please leave the house in the same condition as you found it.
Do not use cleaning products other than those provided for household cleaning, laundry, or appliance use. Scented products can irreversibly damage the equipment.

This property uses only fragrance-free products, respecting the environment and the health of current and future guests.

Waste sorting is mandatory in our municipality: please follow the collection schedule and instructions (information available in the house).

Smoking

Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited indoors to protect the health of the property (sensitive to MCS and asthma). Spray perfumes or diffusers are also forbidden.
Smoking and vaping are allowed only in outdoor areas.

Pets

We allow one dog with prior authorization (no cats due to severe allergies). Dogs must not go on beds or sofas.
Smoking, scented sprays, talc, or essential oils for pets are strictly prohibited indoors.
Any damage or pet hair on furniture will incur additional cleaning or replacement charges.
Pets must be kept under control and must not disturb neighbors.

Children

No child safety protections are present in the house. Children must be continuously supervised. No beds or linens for children are provided.

Noise

Out of respect for neighbors, especially the elderly, maintain a moderate voice level, particularly after 10:00 PM.

Safety

Lock doors and windows when leaving.
Do not leave valuables unattended.
Turn off heating, flames, and air conditioning when leaving.

Use of spaces

Handle appliances and equipment with care.
Follow the instructions in the house manual and report any issues using the provided contacts.
Use of e-cigarettes, candles, incense, air fresheners, or scented products is forbidden. The house must remain fragrance-free.
No drugs allowed.
Parties and events are strictly prohibited.

Damages

Report any damage or malfunctions immediately.
Guests are financially responsible for any damages caused during their stay.
