“Location is superb, 100 ft to Chippenham bus station, and leads than 10 minutes bistro from the train station. Room is spacious, so is the bathroom, big and renovated. Courtyard is nice. There is a leisure pool at site too. Huge parking lot at back. The buffet breakfast offered was full English style and truly great. Staffs were super friendly. “I stayed overnight on Wednesday 3 June. On the Thursday morning I got up to find there was no hot water in my room. I had to wash and shave using cold water. Most unsatisfactory. I went to reception and the staff there was most unhelpful. I asked to make a formal complaint and asked the manager to contact me by phone or email. No follow up has been forthcoming. “De Vere Tortworth Court is a beautiful and unique mansion, completely surrounded by nature, built over 170 years ago. We came to visit the Cotswolds, and this accommodation worked out quite well (it is a 40 mins-1h drive from the main villages).
