“A lovely thatched roof pub with sitting out area. The lady was so lovely and welcoming we can’t remember her name but she lived right by the pub. The room was lovely, a nice comfortable bed, lovely pillows and lovely and clean. The lady who was cleaning the rooms was on her own that day and we asked if we could check in early the day before. She worked wonders our rooms was spotless. We had a lovely stay with a great breakfast. Will definitely go back. We had three rooms and ”

“This was my second stay here whilst visiting my son at Exeter University. Moto Velo is <20 mins from the Uni Campus, This place caught my eye as it allows dogs to stay at a reasonable price, much better than the ridiculous amount some of the hotels in Exeter were charging. “We were asked to book a breakfast time slot on arrival, so we selected 8:30–9:00. However, when we went down that morning, all the doors were locked and there was no staff present. We tried every contact number provided, including the delivery and service numbers advertised, but received no answer or callback. “Inchecken ging moeizaam. We moesten borg betalen terwijl de kamer vooraf betaald was. De borg zou verrekend worden met het eten. Maar bleek niet mogelijk te zijn. Waardoor we dat direct moest betalen in de restaurant/bar. Kamer/badkamer was schoon en groot. Er was geen airconditioning wat jammer was gezien dat heel erg warm was. Er was een ventilator op de kamer die hopeloos was. Er was genoeg keuze voor ontbijt. Personnel was vriendelijk.”

The pub itself is lovely, good food & comfortable clean rooms. However the lack of customer care lets it down. First as a previous customer mentioned is the welcome.
