“Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. All staff were very friendly making for a relaxing stay. Evening meal was was also very nice ( I had the pie both nights, highly recommended) wine a bit on pricy side but I enjoyed it all the same!”

“This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Amthweight Hall, the accommodation was excellent, as was the staff, they couldn't do enough for you. The breakfast was 10 out of 10, and again, very helpful, as my wife wanted her coffee a paticular temperature, and strength, they bent over backwards to make her perfect cup of coffee !! “I don't want to tell people how good this place really is because I want to go back and don't want the price to go up. It's a great hotel, great facilities but what amazes me is it feels nicer and friendlier than the armathwaite next door. The staff are hotel professionals, Its nice to be addressed as sir by staff in proper uniform with ties. They do this while remaining friendly and never stuffy. Nothing is too much hassle. “Our room, on the first floor, was excellent with lovely views. The food was of a high quality and the service was very good except on one of our three evenings when we were forgotten about and it took at least three complaints to get our meal started. On this occasion we were in the restaurant for about two hours and it took 45 minutes before we got our starter. This was a shame because otherwise everything was perfect.”
