“A one night stay plus breakfast. Good. No issues. Not that it was an issue for my stay but for future reference to consider permitting dogs. Maybe allocate some rooms for o/night stay with dogs. Wonderful countryside location. You advertise walks. Missing out on a key £ market!”

“Bar with good selection of drinks, menu was extensive. I had 12oz Steak 👍 Room clean and tidy with tea and coffee making facilities. I had a full English breakfast the following morning well cooked and presented. With tea or coffee and orange juice ”

“This hotel provided a reasonably sized and comfortable room. The bathroom, although a bit small, was well-organized, making it convenient for guests. The breakfast was excellent value for money, offering a variety of hot food options. However, the bathroom had a very unpleasant smell that persisted throughout our entire stay of six days. I suspect it was coming from the shower curtain fabric or the sewer line. Additionally, the bathtowels were not made of cotton.”

“Firstly, it was lovely to stay in an independently owned hotel where the staff clearly have great pride in their hotel and ensuring that guests are happy with their stay. Everyone was charming and helpful. The breakfast was lovely and the evening meal, although not an extensive menu, was freshly prepared and nicely presented. “The best thing about this hotel is the location which is fantastic, and the staff were very nice. We stayed in the Oak Suite which is apparently the best room; it benefits from a private terrace with a pair of easy chairs to watch the river and it's occupancy go by, which is lovely. For me it definitely wasn't a four star, but a fair three star hotel. There was a temporary kitchen which also hampered them as well as the view. The room was clean and airy with a (strangely grubby!)Juliet balcony...
