Wayside Cottage Casa per le vacanze

Il cottage di Wayside è una proprietà di fine terrazza, che ha 150 anni, situata nello storico villaggio di St Osyth. E 'situato tra il centro del villaggio, dove troverete tutti i servizi necessari, e il lago, dove troverete attività di sport acquatici, passeggiate panoramiche e gite in bicicletta. Il cottage è stato completamente rinnovato per conservare tutte le caratteristiche originali di soffitti, travi a vista e porte originali. Le camere sono accoglienti e invitanti.

Il nostro caratteristico cottage ospiterà quattro ospiti comodamente, tuttavia possiamo sistemarne cinque regolando il letto singolo, nella seconda camera, per diventare un doppio. Siamo in grado di fornire una sedia da pranzo supplementare o seggiolone se necessario.

Forniremo forniture per la colazione continentale, sufficienti per la prima mattina, composte da tè, caffè, latte, piccola selezione di cereali individuali, succo d'arancia, pane, burro e marmellata.
C'è un barbecue carbone nel deposito esterno per il vostro uso nel bellissimo giardino.

All'arrivo troverete una bottiglia di vino fresca nel frigorifero per darvi il benvenuto al Wayside Cottage.

Siamo molto amichevoli dei cani e il nostro Hugo (cioccolato Labrador) adora le passeggiate locali quindi per favore portatele e godetevi le fantastiche passeggiate disponibili.
Viviamo a pochi chilometri lungo la strada e siamo in grado di offrire qualsiasi consiglio sulla zona, i ristoranti, le passeggiate con i cani, le gite in bicicletta, le giornate in prossimità delle spiagge locali, i villaggi e, naturalmente, Dedham, il Paese della contea ecc.
Wakeboarding, kayak e paddle-boarding sono disponibili per il noleggio sul lago locale che dista solo 1 minuto a piedi, dove troverete non solo due cavi wakeboard con salti ma anche il più grande percorso a ostacoli gonfiabile in acqua nell'Essex! !

Con la Parrocchia di St Osyth che si vanta di essere la zona più secca del Regno Unito, ricevendo solo in media 507mm di pioggia all'anno un Priorato e una storia di Streghe ci dovrebbe essere molto per farti divertire :)

Cute little cottage

Enjoyed our stay, cottage is welcoming and attention to detail appreciated. Very clean and everything you need is thought of. Garden is nice and well kept. Only down side is having no parking, but owner has arranged parking at nearby water park, but this was a little problematic for us. There is quite a bit of road noise as it’s on a relatively busy road, but maybe we notice it more as we live in a very rural location with no traffic and are not used to it. But would def stay again, thank you.

Characterful cottage

Lovely cottage, super clean and everything you could imagine was provided. Kitchen was well equipped, and so was the bathroom with toiletries provided. Great that breakfast was provided too. Private garden with comfortable seating. Able to park outside for loading and unloading then moved to an off road car park just down the road. A great aqua sports centre is literally just down the road, we wished we had time for more, because there were so many activites we could have done there. The village is quite rural but great for the coast and inland too - we visited Flatford Mill in Constable Country and swam in the river Sowe.

Cozy, Welcoming - Great Hosts

We booked last minute to get out of the bustle of the city. Suzanne and John were really thoughtful in sharing that there was unexpected roadwork outside the cottage, giving us the opportunity to find another place to stay but we decided to go ahead and are so glad that we did. The cottage is comfortable and quaint with all the amenities you need to relax. The cottage is walking distance to local cafes, restaurants, and bars. It was great for a weekend away and exactly what we needed. Definitely on our list to revisit, thanks for having us!

Lovely, peaceful getaway

Fantastic stay!

An amazing well equipped cottage. Hosts were fantastic and couldn't do enough for us. Would highly recommend for a family break with your four legged fur baby :-). Lots of lovely walks and the nearby water park was a hit with the braver members of the family. They also do great coffee and cake.

We had a wonderful stay at Wayside cottage. The hosts really did go above and beyond. The cottage was cosy and situated in a lovely village. It was spotless and the attention to detail was spot on. We would love to stay here again.

Cosy cottage

Very pleasant and comfortable long weekend stay. Suzanne & John made us feel very much at home, meeting all our needs and very easy to contact. The cottage was clean, comfortable and well equipped, including a decent sized and well maintained garden. The 'goodies' there on our arrival were well appreciated. As stated in the listing, the road is fairly heavily used but the noise was not intrusive and S&J have arranged for very suitable nearby parking. We are already looking to return

Peaceful, cosy cottage

Like home from home & very comfortable. Lots of extras provided. Eg bread, milk, tea. Street parking a little difficult but owner had sorted parking arrangements with a nearby local business. Good location to explore Essex coast.

Perfect location for quiet holiday

This cottage is perfect for a quiet getaway. It is clean and has many little extras included that you would not expect. Lovely garden which is very secure. St Osyth is a little village with some good dog walks. The hosts have thought of everything to help you have a good holiday.

Outstanding Cottage

This cottage was perfect. It was very clean. All the little extras that are included are very much appreciated and there was much more than we expected, even dog towels to dry your pet in case you don't have any. St Osyth is a lovely village, very peaceful and we found some good dog walks and is only a short drive to Clacton and Colchester. The garden is very secure as our dog is only little but there was nowhere for him to get out. The owners were very helpful and we hope to stay again.

Fantastic cottage

Had a lovely stay here for 2 nights despite the awful weather. The cottage was clean, homely and everything you need. Right down to brand new toothbrushes. Communication with the owners was fantastic. Only downfall for me was the noise of passing traffic. Although not terribly busy was still quite loud even of a night, I am a very light sleeper though Beautiful walks and short distance to beach.

Brilliant Cottage

Everything about the cottage was wonderful. Lovely extra touches such as wine in fridge along with everyday essentials - milk, bread etc. Excellent value for money with all bed linen and towels included. The robes and toiletries made it feel like a hotel stay! Nicely placed for exploring area. Would highly recommend.

A perfect time away

Thank you Suzanne and John for a perfect stay. Very good pre-stay communication, directions and access to the cottage. Also for the provisions for breakfast - orange juice, tea/coffee, milk, bread and butter and a bottle of wine. We arrived on the day of the Queens funeral so this was very appreciated. The Cottage was great for us and also the secure garden for our dogs. We look forward to returning and highly recommend Thank you for a great stay Jo, Rob, Jenny and the dogs Thomas and Harvey

Idyllic vacation in my favorite town

Our stay at the beautiful Wayside Cottage could not have been enjoyable. We spent two weeks there summer '22 after having to cancel in spring '20... and the wait was more than worth it! The owners were wonderful throughout and the property more than lives up to its online billing - compact (to be expected) and a treasure of a place with the amount of room, comfort, and obvious care inside. The location is great for all the family - idyllic St Osyth and its surroundings, the quayside next door, and the watersports down the hill - we had many great hours at all of these places this trip. Perfect, thank you!

A simply stunning, clean well kept cottage and fantastic owner.

The reason I gave online accuracy 4 stars is because while the pictures are fabulous, they do not express how wonderful and pristine and homely Wayside Cottage actually is in the flesh. It’s well equipped, cosy, and Suzanne is thoughtful, generous and all round great property owner.
