The Rockfish unit 1

Experience Clallam Bay like a local in this enchanting 2-bedroom cottage. The cozy space features 1 queen bed, 1 child bed, and a lovely living room with a sofa bed. With heating to keep you warm and a refreshing shower in the bathroom, guests will feel right at home. This place is also located just a short walk from the beach, and a restaurant. I travel a lot and have had some great VRBOs but this one is just ok/not great. In terms of positives, the house is a decent size, like a 2 bedroom apartment with standard appliances and some slightly dated furniture and beachy decorations. There is also free parking in front of the house and the house was clean. A huge drawback however is the shower has really really low water pressure. Like a garden hose would clean me better, so that was pretty upsetting. Also if you are tall, the shower head is fixed to the wall and at chest height so you will duck and hit your head against the shower head in the tiny shower stall. The beds are also not very comfortable, they are firm spring mattresses and the floor is noticeably sloped throughout the house. There are no coat hooks or closets to hang clothes, no wifi per the host, and no A/C (was not needed during our stay but worth noting). I wouldn't personally stay here again, it wasn't terrible but it definitely is a bare bones rental.

The one, and only full bathroom is in one of the bedrooms, needing to invade the privacy of whoever stays there to access the bathroom. Needs at least a half a bathroom added. Switch out the single bed in the second bedroom, for a full size bed. There is still an ant problem. The host is very nice, and readily available! Parking is awesome! Right across the street from one of the local beaches.

We love the Rockfish! I stayed there last year and I recommended it to some friends and they stayed there a week later. The Rockfish is perfectly located for a great time to get away from the grind of life!

While this location afforded us a location to base out of and explorer Olympic National Park, which we appreciated. There were a few things that could have been nicer. The mattress in the pullout was all springs and made for a uncomfortable rest for a young adult. With 4 ppl stayong, only one toll of TP was a little tight and no paper pawels forthe kitchen. kitchen.

The property is okay; we had no communication from the owner so when we showed up we had no way to access the property. It's for sale so we called the listing agent, and she made some calls and got us the code for the lock box. The unit was clean when we got there but on day two when we got back to the unit there were thousands of ants pouring all over the kitchen counters. I wish I was able to submit my pictures for proof. I don't think we'll be staying there again unless the new owner improves the water pressure and adds AC

Great for families. Lots of games and children's books. Great value for a place with a living space and kitchen. It was comfortable and decorated well. The only thing that could be improved would be some nightstands by the beds.

Cozy and coastal, centered in the perfect location to travel to the nearby sights. My friends and I were able to go to Rialto beach, La push, Forks Washington, Port Angeles, Cape Flaterry, and Lake Crescent which were all within an hour drive. The beautiful bay is also right in front of the property, just a short walk away, we collected rocks and shells and watched the sunset, it was such a fun trip!

Clallam Bay is a great jump off point for so many outdoor activities on the peninsula! The Rockfish was a nice place to stay with a well equipped kitchen and plenty of books and games for families. Communication with the host (Rosie) was excellent and she addressed all our questions promptly. Overall a good place to stay!

The location worked well for us. The furniture was older and we wished a larger couch was available with the loveseat, instead of two chairs. The decor was very cute and the kitchen was clean and functional. Unfortunately we left some crumbs in the kitchen sink, this attracted sugar ants. After wiping out the sink, they didn’t come back. We made sure all of our food was kept in the car or refrigerator. Hot water pressure in the shower was pretty low, but this is an older building, so it’s understandable. Overall the space was clean and functional.

Beautiful stay

Everything was amazing . I would definitely return for a family trip. Nice and quiet, it was nice being off the grid with just playing family games. A time to get away from electronics!
