“The room was very basic, but met all my needs---it was small, but clean and quiet--I had a mini refrigerator and Keurig, so I had everything I needed. The bed was comfy and my (limited) interactions with the staff were kind and considerate. I will definitely be staying there again. ”

“Great location as it was a very short drive into town and to the grocery store. Some steep turns and roads to get to the house but once we got there, we really enjoyed the screened in porch and the space in general. Carole was quick to respond to the one question we had and the checkout process was simple with clear instructions. Thanks for the hospitality!”

“We had a small window of opportunity for a trip to Highlands, NC. I found The Zen Den on VRBO and the description met what we needed. The owner gave perfect directions on how to get to our location (the gps would have never got us there) and had turned the heat on before our arrival. The place was very clean and comfortable. The cooking situation was very limited but for our short stay it was fine. For two people and a short stay the Zen Den was perfect!”

“The property was beautiful and the hosts were very helpful! It was the perfect spot for a getaway with friends! The location was perfect as it was a short drive from town and right on a gorgeous lake, where we had access to canoes and kayaks. We went on a few gorgeous hikes around the area (Whiteside Mountain, High Falls, and Rainbow Fallls at Gorges National Park). I highly recommend staying here, and I can’t wait to book my next trip!”

“We recently stayed in the suite at Mirror Lake in Highlands, NC, and we had an absolutely wonderful experience. The suite is located in the peaceful and quiet Mirror Lake area, just a short walk from the town of Highlands. The suite was spacious and beautifully appointed, with a comfortable bed, plush towels, and a fully equipped kitchenette.”

“Loved the vibe, comfort and coziness of Holly’s apt. The place looks recently renovated and was well provisioned. It was very quiet and peaceful.. Only had 2 days, but would have liked to stay longer.”

“So, I booked our room back in September, October of 2021. Between then and when our trip was, the property changed owners. Apparently, there was a bit of a mixup with the booking and the whole lodge was booked for a reunion. We get there to check in, and not only do they still accommodate us, despite the mixup, they gave us an upgrade for no extra charge. We were staying for our anniversary and were absolutely thrilled with everything. We will definitely visit again in the future.”
