Welcome to our mountain Chalet, nestled in the trees, where the sweet melodies of bird singing fill the air, bugling elk echo through the valley. This updated, two bedrooms, two bath cabin offers a perfect retreat for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. Surrounded by towering pines, quaking aspens, and breathtaking mountains, Birds of a Feather provides an moment from the hustle and bustle of everyday life without sacrificing convenience to the Village of Cloudcroft.
Whether you are relaxing on the choice of two decks, listening to the symphony of songbirds or exploring the nearby trails to catch a glimpse of regal views; Birds of a Feather provides the perfect location to immerse yourself in the beauty of the great outdoors and surrounding area. Birds known to the area are Steller Jays, Mountain Chickadee, Tanager, Hummingbirds, and Evening Grosbeak.
Experience Cloudcroft like a local with close proximity, two miles from the Village, from Hwy #130 past Sunspot Hwy; with plenty of parking, maneuvering area. Small RV concrete pad with 220v electric hookup, level parking for motorcycles, small trailers, fenced yard for your fur babies.
Primary Bedroom with Ensuite Bath is entire upstairs level featuring a private deck, stocked coffee/cocktail bar for your convenience, with a luxurious King bed. The Downstairs Bedroom features a cozy, Queen bed, and convenient bath near, guests will feel right at home. Offered is a quaint full Kitchen and BBQ grill for all your families' meal needs, lots of indoor and outdoor games, curl up and read a book, take a hike, the choices are endless. Tons of hiking and riding trails are within easy reach. An Outdoor Firepit invites the evening star gazing to finish the days' adventures. My family and I absolutely loved our weekend stay here. The home was clean, cozy, and welcoming. We really appreciated the fun board games, the snacks, and being able to bring our dog along. The area had a great vibe and was peaceful and quiet. We would definitely stay here again!

It was a nice, cozy, and clean cabin, but it was not as advertised. It turned out to be a complete bust. I was looking for a cabin with indoor and outdoor fire place, and an outdoor grill. This cabin advertised these amenities, but none of those feature worked. When communicating with the host her responses were rude and unhelpful. She had stated she would be being a propane tank the next day, but never did. I had to purchase my own. Wash and dryer did not work either. I would consider other options in the Cloudcroft area.

The balcony view could have been better. Could see deer and elk across the valley, but had to do it through the branches of the trees. My kids loved the bird watching!

Very cute home. We enjoyed our stay. We had a few issues but the host was very responsive and resolved the problems quickly. The only con is that the home has a mothball and dog smell that takes a little while to get used to.

Meeting Old Friends

This is a beautiful cabin and quite cozy. It’s nothing fancy, but very nice, clean and comfortable. The host, Kelly, was the best host ever! Communication was great. She provided extra special amenities that were very much appreciated. Three couples (one couple in a RV) met there to reminisce about old times when we all lived on the coast of California. Wonderful memories in a special place.

This was the best house we have stayed in by far The host communicated with me almost daily before I got there we had welcome drinks and snacks on the bed waiting for us and the beds were very comfortable plus you get a bonus in the bathroom a walk in jacuzzi that was very nice after a long day of work

Much needed get away

We were needing a quiet get away from the heat and everyday hustle. Very clean, well stocked, cozy cabin. Loved that we could bring our dog with us and enjoy our time. There was a fire near and our host kept us informed and checked on us. Very thoughtful and we appreciated the heads up.

Relaxing Getaway!

Birds of a Feather was just as described. Beautiful setting, awesome place with everything you need. Decorated beautifully. We loved the decks and enjoyed the filled bird feeder to hang out so we could bird watch on the deck. Kelly was very communicative and helpful. We appreciated the fact that her place is dog friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful cabin and lovely stay

This lovely cabin is a respite for weary travelers. The host went above and beyond to make our stay easy, comfortable, and a real treat. With extras like a second coffee/tea service adjoining the upstairs bedroom and a bird feeder just waiting to attract the gorgeous local birds, we were delighted by this perfect cabin in the woods. Both balconies provided comfortable places to wake up slowly and enjoy a cup of coffee in the mountain air of Cloudcroft which is a treat itself.Give this cabin a try if you're looking for a taste of plush cabin life, a break from the trials of life, or a lush place to pause your travels - you'll be in for a treat.

Nice Quiet Getaway

This home is a lovely somewhat secluded getaway. The pictures were true to the home. The host was responsive and quite pleasant to work with. We saw hummingbirds, jays and a group of wild horses from the upper deck during our stay. That last bit was magical!The only issue I had was the house smelled like moth balls (3* for cleanliness because of this; otherwise it was impeccable). I didn't message the host about this because there was nothing to be done to rectify it. It was so intense that when I got home, the clothes in my bag smelled like moth balls.
