“The view is what sells the apartment .. it's all downhill from there really. Or should I say 'uphill' as there are 53 steps and 4 potholed paths to get to and from the top apt. Had the number of steps been advertised I would not have booked a stay at the Cove. There is quite a lot of noise from the road and railway which runs right outside. If the look they were going for was 'shabby chic' .. they certainly achieved 'Shabby' ! Walls marked and plaster crumbling away in various places. ...

“The place is lovely, and the cottage was very charming, but I felt like the place needed a better clean, especially considering the price. The drying rack in the kitchen had a grime build-up, and the shower floor was quite grubby. I also noticed some hair on the floor under one of the beds, and the vase was hiding an ant family that came out during the night. “The hotel is nice in general. Amazing breakfast with Amazing view. Breakfast only available between 8:00-9:00 the other option from 9:00-10:00 was already sold out at our check in time at 16:00 the day before. We had no aircondition in the room. The room had 35 degrees on our arrival. We were not able to sleep due to the heat.”

“Truly one of the most special places in the world, no place like it. Incredible setting, delicious food and top attention to detail. Patrick and Lamla (spelling?) were terrific and looked after us like family, even driving out to buy me some zamaleks when the hotel didnt stock it. Rooms are spotless and attention to detail terrif. Chef's Warehouse restaurant is a must. This was our second visit in a year and cannot wait to come back again. Very highly recommend it. ”
