“The drive up the hill the first time was interesting, but Carlos the owner met us at the bottom to show us the route.The villa is lovely with amazing views. We were 4 adults with a 4 and 2 yr old and barely left the villa as it had everything we needed. “We stayed at Villa Romo for 10 days. The perfect place to get away and appreciate a slower pace and Spanish way of life. Carl & Maria were attentive throughout. Only snag was getting to the house on day one, as we were driving from Toledo. Managed to find the house before dark; a plus! The home is quite remote and it took us about 30 minutes to get there from the small town of Rio Gordo. (My advice is to buy groceries before you arrive.) “We hebben heerlijke dagen gehad, huis is perfect voor een grote familie. Keuken is zeer volledig uitgerust, echt alles is er. Overal leuke hoekjes om te zitten. De tafeltennistafel was ook super. We hadden een vroege vlucht maar konden eerder het huis in en ook later vertrekken ivm onze avond vlucht. Super goede en snelle communicatie met eigenaar. Incheck en uitcheck met Meme was ook prima. Kortom een geweldige lokatie om te verblijven!!”

“Perfekt ausgestattetes Ferienhaus in den Bergen mit herrlichem Ausblick auf das Meer. Das letzte Stück der Zufahrtstraße besteht aus unbefestigtem Feldweg, der eine vorsichtige Fahrweise erfordert. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen, gemütliche Abende auf der Terrasse verbracht und es uns an kühleren Abenden vor dem Pelletofen im Wohnzimmer gemütlich gemacht.”

We felt like the property hadn’t been totally prepared for us as no gas bottle for bbq, no pool towels, no logs for burner and no waste bags. We had to chase for instructions on how to get there. “We had a lovely time staying at the villa. There were four of us in two rooms and there was plenty of space inside and particularly outside. We did yoga most mornings outside on the patio, streaming classes from the UK (using the WiFi, which was quick and covered all of the patio/pool area). “Chris and Karen met us at the villa and couldn’t have been more helpful. We had a few issues with the electricity but once shown how to reset this all was good. The beds were extremely comfortable and the outside area was a delight with the pool set at a very comfortable heat. You will need a car as there are not any shops within walking distance. The welcome pack was very much appreciated, especially as we arrived on a day when all the shops were shut for a festival!”

“We had a wonderful stay in a beautiful house in Loja. Philippa is a very good and sweet hostess, who ensured that we had a wonderful holiday.
