This is a property I would visit a hundred times over. The owners are the sweetest people you will ever meet. The property was so beautifully decorated and well-kept. The location was perfect. We got married in Glacier National Park August 2025. We were able to hold our wedding reception on the lawn during our stay. The views were absolutely unbeatable. If you thinking about booking, all I can say is “DO IT”. You will absolutely love your stay.

This house has it all! The kitchen was well equipped for cooking, the grill was clean and ready for steaks. The bedrooms and bath were squeaky clean and the pillows, oh the pillows… I like them soft and my husband likes them firm. They had a pair of each in both bedrooms. The fire starter kit was all we needed to make perfect marshmallows every evening. Owners were responsive and kind. Highly recommend for a base camp to hike all of Glacier National Park, only 40 minutes to the West entrance.

Me and my now fiancé had an awesome time! The views are spectacular! Check in was super easy and the place was super clean! The host were super nice and the whole process was just super smooth. Best trip I’ve been on so far as I got proposed too!! We will definitely be back!

Perfect little getaway

This house was everything we had hoped for and more! It was so clean and well stocked. It's close to town but you feel like you're in the countryside. The grounds were absolutely gorgeous with stunning mountains in the background. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect!

Our stay was wonderful from start to finish. The Black barn had everything we needed. It is as described-spacious, clean, and quiet. The location was perfect. We even got a small fire going in the awesome fire pit. Sarah and Clay are excellent hosts. The Black Barn is my first choice for future stays.

Excellent Accommodations

This VRBO was the best place to relax and unwind! The house was so clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Worth the stay!!

Our stay at this property was nothing short of perfect. The location is close to downtown Columbia Falls and a short 20-minute drive to West Glacier entrance. The property is SPOTLESS, and that includes the outdoor area. It is on a quiet farm and we even saw deer many times while looking out onto the green farmland. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies and we used it many evenings and mornings between our park visits. The bed was perfect. I cannot overstate how comfortable our stay was. Book now, you won't be sorry!!

Can’t say enough GOOD things!

What an amazing space, in an incredible setting! Do not let the simplicity of this space fool you — this listing has a lot to offer! You will fall in love as soon as you pull into the driveway due to the unobstructed mountain views. Upon entering intro the space, you’ll feel right at home with the very calming aesthetics and the spacious living area. High valued ceilings, all the amenities, and the most amazing sheets and comfortable beds made us already looking forward to coming back. Thanks Sarah and Clay for creating a thoughtful and relaxing space for our family to stay when we’re in the Flathead Valley!

The location of Fairview Retreat is perfect. Only a short drive to West Glacier Entrance and an easy drive to all surrounding areas you might want to visit. Sarah and Clay have done an awesome job to give their guest a comfortable stay, with beautiful view, thank you both. This is place I would stay again and recommend to all!

Best Vrbo EVER!

Everything about this place was perfect! It is decently priced for the quality of the accommodations and location. The view is stunning and the house itself is beautiful but still cozy. The host is sweet and helpful beyond what she has to be and gave us some great recommendations for places to eat. She even searched for a beanie that my son lost after we left. I was born and raised in Columbia Falls but it had been 30 years since I had been back home. This was my husband and children's first time to the area. We couldn't have chosen a more special place! There was no detail missed when the owners designed and furnished this place!

Dreamy and serene with a view of the mountains

Sarah and Clay's place is just perfect! It was spotlessly clean and very roomy and comfortable. Has everything you would need to cook or prep food for a day at the park. We were about 20 mins from the entrance of GNP, and about 15 mins from Whitefish. Loved the location because we got to experience both places and then had a quiet and beautiful place to relax at the end of the day. The views at this home are amazing and it was really peaceful. We are already hoping to return and bring our kids next time!

Big Black Barn, Outstanding Property!

This property is super clean, well- built and the owners are very responsive. It is very nice to be out in the country, but very close to Whitefish, Glacier Park and many other attractions. The decor is so nice, and it feels like a brand new custom home. Importantly, anything you need is provided, laundry, kitchen supplies and even a snack basket. I highly recommend this property!
