This custom built luxurious Short North home is steps away from High Street. Enjoy the privacy and comfort of your own spa like residence in this amazingly quiet home.

Clean, modern & cozy for your visit to Columbus! This private home comfortably sleeps 6-adults. Each bedroom includes its own on suite bath. The two 1st floor pull out sofas are queen size.

This location is walking distance to OSU, Nationwide's Arena District, Italian Village, Short North, Downtown and the Convention Center plus much more. The Short North is known nationally for its restaurants, entertainment and shopping!

Rest easy knowing you will have two off-street parking spots available to you.

  • The second oldest building remaining on The Ohio State University campus, Orton Hall was opened in 1893. It is named after Dr Edward Orton, Sr. who served as Ohio State's first president, OSU Professor of Geology from 1873 to 1899, and Ohio's State Geologist from 1882 until his death in 1899. Orton Hall is built of 40 different Ohio building stones. In the outside walls, these stones are laid in stratigraphic order according to their relative positions in Ohio's bedrock. The only non-indigenous to Ohio stone used is Indiana Limestone to build the front steps. It was chosen because of its high concentration of embedded fossils. The bell tower was dedicated in 1915 and contains 25,000 pounds of bells that can be heard regularly tolling across campus. Encircling the top of the tower are 24 columns with gargoyle-like figures which are restorations of fossil animals.

Lots of kitchen equipment. Very clean. We were in town for an event at the Convention center a mile away and walked back and forth. Also walked to the grocery store about 1/2 mile north. Lots of restaurants nearby.

Most all was very good! Little loud but that was a Saturday night after a 7:30 Buckeye game. Friday was not as bad! Everything was very clean. Bathrooms were well supplied! Would be nice to know what kind of coffee maker. Wasn’t sure if we needed to take K-cups or just ground coffee so we took both. Convenient location close to campus. Love the Short North area as well ! Would recommend and stay again.. keeping in mind both bedrooms are upstairs and not sure if I would sleep on the 1st floor couch. Would recommend a blow up mattress!

Week long stay

Enjoyed our stay! The beds were so comfortable. Closet space with hangers a huge plus. And the bathrooms were great. Location good. Parking was hard for us because we had two large vehicles. Therefore needed to park one off site, which was not a huge deal, as we drove around together anyhow.Kitchen is not very well stocked, so keep that in mind if you’re planning to cook. Bedrooms definitely need some curtains, to block some of the light. There are blinds… But it is so bright in the morning and even at night because of the street lights. I had to wear an eye mask ;) we would stay here again however… and hope curtains are installed.

We recently rented this property for a 4 night stay in Columbus. I was first taken a back when we pulled up to the property because I was expecting a new house as the listing said "Custom Built Home". While the home is renovated, it's 100 years old so that felt a little deceptive but whatever, we were happy to check in and the location seemed convenient. Upon entering the house we noticed a strong musty smell. I am highly allergic to mold so I couldn't risk staying in the house. We immediately contacted the host with our concerns and he was not helpful to say the least. I was threatened if I left a review referring to our experience. On the plus side the house did look like the photos and the location a quick walk to High Street.

Great property in a great location

Property is spacious and very, very nice. Rooms are large, kitchen and baths are updated, and furnishings are modern. Unit was extremely clean and well maintained. It is in a terrific location to both the Short North and OSU campus. Looking forward to staying there again.

Great property with awesome location.

The house is great and in a prime location. Rooms, bathrooms and kitchen are well setup. Loved how close it is to high street with all the restaurants and shops. Plus downtown is very close.

VRBO fail

We could bot connect with the owner. I could not login to VRBO. We needed the wifi login and password. I tried so many times. It was sending me a 6 digit code to enter and every time I entered it it said it was an error on thier end. So frustrating.

Beyond expectations

The photos really don’t do it justice. This is a beautiful two bedroom house located just a block from N. High St. However, I would recommend purchasing some essentials if you’re planning to cook. There was really no seasoning or oil or anything like that. But everything else was well supplied for.

my friends and i stayed here to show our out of state friend around the short north it was an awesome property extremely clean and brad was totally cool and helpful with our check in process! location was great, we were within walking distance of many great locations on short north 10/10 would recommend .
