The smoke detector was chirping continuously. I called the front desk twice in the first 1.5 hours. Finally, I drove back to the desk and asked for a different room. Their website showed rooms available. The clerk stated that she could not move me. The maintenance person could change the battery the next day. That future solution would not help me sleep. She said I could get my money back from Expedia. I asked for a refund slip for documentation. After 15 minutes of discussion, she printed out a slip showing the payment. The chirping smoke detector issue was not noted. During this process, the clerk grabbed two dumbbells and started to walk towards me, then turned abruptly and walked out another door. The hotel room was beautiful and I really thought I had made a great booking until I realized I could not stop the chirping or change rooms. Staff attitude ruined a great hotel experience.
