Lodge a Contea di Maniototo

“Glorious place for a group to enjoy the old style well loved and cared for farmhouse. Very clean and superbly labelled for efficiency. Homemade bread was amazing. Peter was very accommodating. For us it was somewhat remote.”

“Kate and Shane were wonderful hosts during my recent stay. The continental breakfast was perfect and had the bonus of nice yogurt, fresh fruit and fresh eggs too. I could not have asked for a better place to recover from a day being battered by headwinds on my bike! I will definitely stay here again when the opportunity arises. Thanks again to both of you for your wonderful hospitality.”

“Fantastically comfortable bed, couldn't wait to get into it each of the 3 nights we stayed. Nicely appointed and very clean accommodation but in this day and age the least expectation would be a small microwave and a sink in the room. Found plates, cups and cutlery but not ideal having to wash up in the bathroom and Ranfurly doesn't have many places to eat out at night.”

“We had a wonderful stay at Dansey's Pass. The staff were amazing and it's such a special place. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we look forward to our next stay.”

“The cottage was nicely appointed, clean, and of course, very tranquil. Sharon was communicative and helpful with directions. We enjoyed our stay. It’s off the beaten track and take your time on the journey as you get there, and drive slowly, as the views are lovely. ”

“Seven of us really loved our stay in this quaint little cottage. Warm and cosy with the addition of some delicious fresh bread delivered daily, we’d highly recommend this holiday destination. Thanks for a great time ”

“Visit old Town we used to live in”

“Extremely comfortable beds & pillows, lovely and warm, with extra heating already on when we arrived later in the evening. Beautiful setting & friendly, helpful staff. Definitely recommend.”

“Perfect personable communication with the lovely host, heatpumo on for us when we arrived, chickens there to greet us, lovely wee place, deck, inserted baths in the deck and lovely water pressure for the shower.Thoroughly recommended”

“We stayed here for a wedding 5 minutes away in Tarras. It was a perfect location for us. Amazingly roomy space with clever layout. Very private, we didn't actually meet the hosts.”

“A quiet and peaceful location with only the local animals for company. Communication and check-in from owners was excellent. Place itself was comfortable for a one night stop over. ”

“The advertised location as being on the Otago Rail Trail was incorrect. In fact it was 17 km from the trail in a different town so we couldn’t even get there. Very disappointing.”

“We loved the Stargazer Cabin - we actually stayed there twice, both before and after our Otago Central Rail Trail bike adventure. The Cabin was spotlessly clean with cookies to welcome us and a prepared breakfast for each morning. The location was peaceful and quiet, the bed was very comfortable and we felt very much at home. Highly recommend!”

“We (a group of 4 old people), were greeted by Russell and provided with an introduction to the property. He provided some of the history of Ophir and made suggestions regarding the best place for a meal, all of which was accurate. He made a prediction of the likely weather conditions for the Bike ride to Wedderburn and he was correct. ”
