Cottage a Coon Valley

“Recently refreshed property. Definitely get the "mom and pop" feel, in a good way. Rooms are not overly spacious, but very clean and functional. The heated outdoor pool was a plus and every staff member we ran into, ask how are stay was and if they could do anything. Short ride from the Elroy/Sparta trail and 10min walk to many food/drink choices. Will stay here again on our next trip to Sparta.”

“Overall the property was clean however the room had an odor. Free breakfast was the standard with waffles available. Had to request staff to refill items that were out. Staff did so with kindness and respect.”

We could tell he had a very challenging customer on the phone and was staying calm and answered her questions in a pleasant and professional way. Our room was ok. I found the ADA features frustrating as a non ADA user. There was plenty of room for two hooks on the bathroom door, but all heights were lowered for ADA. Our towels touched the floor,...

I was pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary upgrade to a whirlpool suite, and it made my visit even more enjoyable. The extra space and relaxing whirlpool were a fantastic bonus. “Grateful for a solid and pleasant visit at Sparta! We were on a road trip and needed a good stop for the night!”

“The facility was unsafe and unsanitary. There was a clear mouse infestation, and the odor became unbearable. The lack of running water made the property unlivable. I contacted the host multiple times regarding the water issue, but nothing was done.Additionally, the oven did not work, there were no lights on the outside staircase leading to the bedroom, and there was no lock on the door, creating serious safety concerns.”
