About this space
The Saltbox was originally built back in 1940, but given a full face lift for its new adventure! Our cottage is dog friendly and located between Ocean Shores and Seabrook, about a 15 minute drive to each. Whether you're looking to enjoy the sound of the ocean from the balcony, a cozy fire down in the pit, game nights with the family, or a quiet space for you and your pups, we hope you'll find it here. We are looking forward to your stay with us, and we welcome you to The Saltbox Cottage!
The space
*Please note the general layout of our home, as all bedrooms and kitchen space are upstairs.

Layout- On lower level you will find the entry, living room, dog space, and a half bath with washer and dryer. Upstairs is the kitchen, dining, workspace, bedrooms, 3/4 bathroom with shower, and deck access.

Living Room - Encompassing the entire lower level, we've added all the bells and whistles! Sectional sleeper sofa, 65" smart TV w/ Netflix, electric fireplace, game table with lots of games, extra bar top seating, over sized tic- tac-toe- and scrabble, plus Big Buck Hunter arcade game! (Please be aware Big Buck Hunter is a hunting simulation game that uses fake guns.)

Kitchen - Located upstairs, fully equipped and open concept! Includes stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, Nespresso machine (w/ pods and instruction book), pots and pans, utensils, and dishes, plus basic condiments/ spices. Lots of counter space for cooking, including island with seating, and access to deck.

Dining Area - Located upstairs with table and benches, and direct access to the kitchen.

Bedrooms - Both rooms are upstairs, and have closet space plus smart TV's with Netflix access. One room has a queen bed, while the other has a double, fresh linens and hangers can be found in closet.

Bathrooms - Primary 3/4 bath with shower is upstairs and fully furnished with towels, shampoo and conditioner, soap, and hair dryer. Half bath is on the main level with washer/ dryer.

Deck - Listen to the ocean as you eat at the picnic style table. Lots of seating and light for evening meals.

Yard - Fire pit with chairs and large green space for hanging out. Dog mess bags provided for your four legged friends.

Loft - Coming Soon, so stay tuned!

Dogs- We are dog friendly for up to two dogs with an extra cleaning fee. Under the stairs you will find a kennel space for you four legged friends with beds and dishes. Dog mess bags provided, we ask that you pick up after your pups, and please do not allow them on the furniture!

Beach Access- The beach is easily accessed by foot through the Surfcrest resort, about a 5 minute walk, just follow the map provided.

Guest access
You will have access the whole home and property. Your door code will be sent to you a few hours before your check in time, key pad located on the main door on the side of the cottage. Codes are changed for each guest and only works during the duration on your stay. Cell service is not great, so be sure to have your door code handy, and get hooked up to the Wifi right away.
Other things to note
The cottage is located on at the end of a dirt road. There are no street lights so it may be dark if you're arriving in the evening. We have motion lights at the entrance and along the driveway. Surveillance camera facing the driveway.
