Clean comfortable accommodation spoilt by nightclub noise
Accommodation is a top floor apartment on two levels. Beware it’s a bit of a climb. Ground level is a kitchen with toilet/shower leading directly off, a kitchen with plenty of facilities (although needs more glassware) and a large living area with a small bedroom connected. The top floor is two bedrooms although note that the furthest can only be accessed through the other room, which impinges on the occupants’ privacy. All in all everything was comfortable and finished to a good standard.
Communication with the owner was good with all information provided on the date of our stay.
Location very central and main shopping, Nyhavn and the castle are a short walk away. Tivoli is 20 mins walk max.
All this said, it really must be disclosed that the ground floor is an all night bar that doesn’t close until 7am at the weekend and 5am on weekdays. We knew when booking that city centres are noisy but this was intolerable and it was extremely difficult to sleep as the music was thudding up through the floor. I can image it would be worse during summer as there is no way you could open the windows for fresh air. The journey up the stairs to the apartment was also unpleasant due to the smell and also the fact that the bar owners don’t wash the stairs so they are sticky with stale drink.
