Un cottage sul mare nella penisola Schoodic

Benvenuti a Shore Haven! Si tratta di un cottage a strati di cedro di 1850 piedi quadrati situato sulla riva della baia di Gouldsboro. Questa casa completamente attrezzata vanta una cucina / sala da pranzo / soggiorno / sala da pranzo open space con spettacolare vista sull'oceano, 3 letti 2 bagni e una biblioteca / sala lettura che può essere utilizzata come camera da letto per i giovani. La proprietà è un terreno paesaggistico di un acro con 240 piedi di facciata in grassetto sull'oceano. Per gli affitti settimanali di alta stagione 2020 (30 maggio-31 ottobre) solo con giorno di arrivo / partenza di sabato. Fuori stagione minimo 2/3 notti. Diamo il benvenuto agli ospiti anche in inverno!

La casa si trova nel villaggio di Corea nella città di Gouldsboro, ME, sulla penisola di Schoodic. Questa zona è nota per la sua atmosfera "vera Maine". Il vicino porto di Corea è un porto commerciale funzionante pieno di scampi. La sezione Schoodic del Parco nazionale di Acadia è a soli 10 minuti di auto. Bar Harbor è a circa 1 ora di auto. Ci sono alcuni negozi e ristoranti locali, ma l'atmosfera generale della zona è piuttosto lontana dal trambusto di altre città turistiche.

Il tuo ospite, Josh, è cresciuto nella penisola di Schoodic. Lui e sua moglie Megan hanno acquistato la proprietà nella primavera del 2019. Josh e Megan vivono nel vicino Bangor ma godono di trascorrere del tempo sulla penisola di Schoodic per connettersi con la famiglia e rilassarsi. Gli affitti sono gestiti congiuntamente dalla sorella di Josh, Crystal, che vive nel vicino villaggio di Birch Harbour.

La casa può ospitare 8 persone con la possibilità di più. La camera da letto principale ha un letto matrimoniale. La seconda camera ha un antico letto full size. La terza camera ha due letti singoli. C'è una sala lettura / biblioteca fuori dalla camera da letto principale con una porta a scomparsa per la privacy che ha un letto completo aggiuntivo. Due divani sono prontamente disponibili nel soggiorno / sala da sole. Inoltre, per i giovani visitatori c'è un materasso doppio che può essere utilizzato sul pavimento o un pacchetto e un gioco che può essere impostato.

Wow! What a view! We really enjoyed our stay at Josh and Megan’s cute home.We didn’t mind driving an hour to the main Acadia entrance and Bar Harbor since Corea is close to the Schoodic entrance of Acadia.This is our third stay near Acadia NP and second stay in Corea. For us, this quiet fishing town feels like the real Maine. There are many wonderful restaurants nearby and the Corea Co-op makes getting fresh lobster for dinner very easy.As for the house, it was very warm thanks to mini splits and it was evident that changes have been made to make this home comfortable. It was very clean.The home was very well stocked. Its decorations are very much thrifted and eclectic.Our kids loved searching for shells on the beach and walking down the road to continue our search for treasure on the wide and sandy Newman Beach during low tide.The adults really enjoyed waking early to watch the sunrise and lobster boats.10/10 would recommend this home!

This is a beautiful home and property in a gorgeous part of Maine. The house is comfortable and well-equipped with plenty of space for a family. The view every morning is outstanding, and so nice to watch the moon rise from the firepit. My kids had fun exploring the tide pools. The location is remote, but it's easy to get to area attractions, especially Acadia (and the Schoodic side of Acadia is much less busy and therefore very peaceful). The owner is very responsive and helpful. Good restaurants and ice cream in the area. All in all, this is an excellent property and a great value!

Family Acadia Trip

This house was the perfect spot for my family of seven to vacation to Maine and visit Acadia National Park. I did not want to be right in the middle of the busyness of the park traffic, and this was far enough away but not too far (only 30 minutes to Schoodic Point). The property was clean and spacious and the yard was amazing for the kids to play outside, check out the tide pools, etc. Very highly recommend!!

Fantastic property on the Schoodic Peninsula

Just a fantastic location, beautiful views of the bay, super quiet and peaceful. My 18 year old sons loved it there. The house is cute and well-cared for. The beds are quite firm, so if you prefer soft beds, you might want to bring some foam pads. The kitchen is basic but functional. Josh was easy to communicate with. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a phenomenal place

The perfect house, grounds, and view. The house is compact but even so the 5 of us had 4 places to sit and talk inside, plus on the deck, plus at the fire pit, and we never felt crowded. The owner is responsive and helpful. Everything you need for cooking, entertainment, and comfort is here. It's homey and comfortable, not fancy, which is so good. Neighbors are not too close. The view over the water is gorgeous. On clear nights, turn off the house lights and see a zillion stars. And enjoy the silence. Very highest recommendation.

Our stay at this property was awesome! The home is clean, comfortable, and spacious. The amenities are excellent, the views are spectacular, and the location is fabulous. The area has so much beauty and a variety of attractions. We enjoyed our time in the area and the home was part of what made our trip so great. This is our second stay here. Our friends joined us this year. We all loved the beautiful view. The house is well appointed fir a comfortable stay. The twin beds are a bit uncomfortable for adults. May be adequate for children. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Quiet and amazing views .

Enjoyed being on the Schoodick peninsula in a quieter area than Bar Harbor . An easy hour drive to Acadia which was beautiful. Took the ferry from Winter Harbor to Bar Harbor which was fun . Lobsters fresh from the boat in Corea and oysters just down the street . The view from the property was amazing.

Perfect getaway

Pictures can't do this house justice. House was very clean, with a beautiful view of the water. In a very quiet location...perfect for relaxing. Easy day trip to bar harbor/Acadia National Park. We definitely will be coming back in the future!

Don't pay for insurance

The beds were not very comfortable. We had to leave early due to a work related situation. We had the insurance but it was denied. Don't pay for the insurance , it is a rip off.

Very nice beach front house with great views

Very spacious and clean with a very large kitchen and living area. Large yard with fire pit, BBQ grill and a double chair positioned on waters's edge, so you can watch lobster and other boats. Thanks!

Beautiful sunrise and moonrise over the water

My family of six adults enjoyed this property. Very spacious. Well stocked. Fantastic waterside location for beautiful sunrises. We enjoyed the fire pit by moonlight too. Lots of brochures, maps, history. The washer and dryer are a real saver. Smaller suitcases! There is an hour ride to spend a day at Acadia NP, but we prefer nearby Schoodic for the smaller crowds. Plenty to do. And the Schoodic point has plenty of room for wave watching. Thank you Josh and Megan. I recommend it.

Better than expected

This house was perfect for us (3 adults + 3 kids). The lawn was lovely and looking out into the bay was magical when the sun was down and the bay was reflecting the pink sky. Lots of good stuff to do around Gouldsboro including Bunker’s Wharf restaurant. Lots of cool hiking around the Schoodic part of Acadia here. The house was amazing with great views of the bay even when the weather was a bit inclement. Rooms were great, but heads up all the beds are a bit firm. I like it that way, but just be aware. Overall, I'd totally book this place again. Thanks!
