Cottage a Cornhill on Tweed

“Everything in the cottage was great. And there was a great view of the Abbey. There was also not much noise outside, only the occasional ringing of church bells. I would highly recommend this cottage.”

“Property is well located and beds are comfy. It was very cold in the property when we arrived as the thermostat had been turned to 10 degrees and there were no matches to light the fire. The whole property felt like it needed a bit of a refresh.....walls marked, some mirrors cracked, doors & handles chipped, kitchen equipment mismatched and well used, some kitchen equipment broken, dining room chair broken and not usable. The shower has a slanted roof so not ideal as you have to duck to prevent...

“Great location, fabulous views of the rolling hills and loch, together with a real sense of 'getting away from it all'. The downstairs of the cottage was cosy and adequately equipped. We particularly enjoyed the open fire that was set up ready to go, we only had to light it and there was plenty of spare wood to burn. A point for our own learning is that next time we will select somewhere that does not welcome pets as many parts of the upstairs did smell like dogs were there before us. So much so...

“This property is excellent, both in its location and as a holiday let. Everything was in immaculate condition. Jedburgh has everything you need, shops, cafes and restaurants. It also well placed for visiting the Scottish Borders, Edinburgh and Northumberland. We’ll definitely be back.”
