This review is for the physical house, "Palm Pines / PI36" and for the entity, "Village Realty".Our stay in OBX itself was great, as usual, but the house and the agency, I really don't have much good to say about them and I would not recommend them for the amount of money they are charging. There are two kinds of short-term rental property owners/agencies: 1) those that care about keeping their property up to date and in high quality condition, and 2) those that don't. Unfortunately this is one of the ones that seem only willing to do bare minimum to make the house liveable and bank on its proximity to the beach. There are not enough characters allowed here so I will just say that the listing promised much, but delivered on very little. The only redeeming qualities of this property are its location, indoor space, and maybe the hot tub. The property is way overpriced in our humble opinion. I might consider staying here again for half of what the current 275/nt rate is. Maybe.Pics attached are of all the hardware (screws, rusty nails, etc.) and lumber chips we collected that were strewn about the various areas of decking on the main level, presumably from previous renovation work that was never fully cleaned up.I would recommend properties managed by the other more well-known agencies when booking in OBX.
