È una casa vacanza ampia e confortevole con 8 camere da letto (7 padroni), una grande piscina privata, vasca idromassaggio ed è a soli 250 metri dall'accesso alla spiaggia nel quartiere di Whalehead Beach. I nuovi proprietari stanno pianificando aggiornamenti per la stagione degli affitti 2020!

    LIVELLO SUPERIORE:
    La Great Room comprende l'intero livello superiore con le zone soggiorno e pranzo con una grande cucina. L'isola del bar può ospitare 5, il tavolo della colazione può ospitare 4 e il tavolo da pranzo può ospitare 10. Ampi ponti sono disponibili su 3 lati della casa rivolti verso est, ovest e sud. La terrazza sul tetto offrirà una vista panoramica sull'oceano e sull'intero quartiere.

    LIVELLO MEDIO:
    L'intero piano dispone di 5 Master Suite con TV a schermo piatto: 1 letto king size, 3 letti matrimoniali e 1 set piramide a castello. Tutte le camere hanno accesso ai ponti esterni tranne il King Master.

    LIVELLO A TERRA:
    Una grande area salotto e una zona giochi con biliardino, angolo cottura e frigorifero di dimensioni standard. Altre tre camere da letto sono a questo livello: la seconda King Master Suite e la quarta Queen Master Suite. C'è un'altra camera da letto a castello a piramide che condivide un bagno completo con l'area salotto.

    EXTRA:
    La bellissima area piscina ha una vasca idromassaggio e due griglie: una griglia a gas e una griglia in stile parco per il carbone. C'è una zona riparata sopra il tavolo da picnic e due docce esterne per fare la doccia prima di usare la piscina o la vasca idromassaggio. Nel vialetto anteriore, i membri della famiglia attiva possono esercitarsi a sparare alcuni cerchi nella rete da basket.

We enjoyed staying here for our family reunion. The only thing that was disappointing was the “Game room “ . Was much smaller than appears in pictures , had a card table and the air hockey machine did not work at all.

May Vacation with the family

The home was clean and provided us with rooms for the family to spread out.Having the heated pool was worth the extra money, given that the ocean was a bit cold for the little ones.The home could use some updating.Overall, we were all very happy with our stay.

Check in was a breeze, loved the home. The kitchen was well equipped had everything we needed. There was plenty of room for my whole family. The home was clean pool are was clean. Short walk to the beach, we will stay again.

The house and decor were beautiful, plenty of space and easy access to all the decks. The beach was not too far of a walk. The kitchen was very well equipped with pots/pans/utensils. Overall a great pick!

A longtime dream come true.

All the kids and grandkids under one roof for multiple days by the beach. We did it and we did it with little effort. Accommodations and cleanliness were key along with bathrooms for each of the five families and more for the kids. Dream come true.

Great Family Vacation

The property is spacious and was able to handle my family of 13 with ease. Short distance to the beach. Had everything we needed. A few minor problems but the management handled them immediately. Would definitely return to the Crabby Mermaid!

Perfect Property for Us

The layout of the house was perfect - kitchen and living room area on the top level, bedrooms on levels one and two. Kitchen was amazingly equipped - it had everything! We traveled with six adults and five children between 2 and 6 years of age. Pool was perfect for our needs. We enjoyed lunches at the picnic table by the pool. There was plenty of outdoor deck space. The decor in the house was very tasteful - we enjoyed going on "art hunts" to count mermaids, crabs, etc. We also enjoyed the location of the house - less than 2 miles to the Food Lion and Seafood Market, and only a few blocks to the beach. While we cannot do this trip every year, we will look to rent this house again when we return in 2026. Sincere thanks to the owners who made this property available to rent.

I’d give it 4 stars

Overall it went well but we had 2 infants and was not able to access the house earlier than 4. Which was very worrisome in 92 degree heat. Also there were no bikes there or beach chairs. The kitchen was very well furnished but the electric outlets on both sides of the sink and on the island quit working on Friday.

Nice property but needs a few upgrades

House was clean but carpet is old. AC vents on the 3rd floor were dirty and need to be changed. We have family members in HVAC that noticed that. Ocen and stove really need to be replaced. Could not open window in the 2nd floor front window. All this to say we had a good time but we would not rent this property again.

great overall house and location, a bit in need of updating

The house and location were just as advertised. We were an extended family of 12 and had plenty of room. The kitchen has loads of dishes, cooking utensils and appliances. The furniture in the great room is worn and should probably be replaced. Most of the rooms are carpeted with a shag carpet that does not work well for a beach house. The front porch was covered in cob webs. The gas grill needs a through cleaning. The bottom was lined with at least an inch of ashes along with a partial hot dog. Only 4 of the 6 gas pipes would light, and the igniter does not work. I would rate the overall house with 3.5 starts given the size of the house and the location.

Our stay was great. Loved the location.

The house size was great for the number of people we had. We did have an issues with the lower level air conditioning unit, but the rental company was quick to resolve it. We also had some clogged shower drains and they fixed that right away too. Overall it was a great trip and a great place to stay for the week.

Excellent place to get away and relax

From the booking through the stay, this has been a great experience. The house has everything we needed. The pool and hot tub were so nice. The sun rise and sunsets were amazing from the many decks!

Excellent stay

Love every minute of our time at the crabby mermaid! Minor issue with pool heat but someone was out promptly to fix the issue. Will definitely stay again!

Nice House Room for Improvement

The home was nice, however, it was very dusty and spiderwebs were everywhere. The furniture was really old and should be replaced, the carpet is worn out and also should be replaced. Overall, we had a great vacation, but a little TLC to the house would make it a jewel.

Some issues that had to be fixed.

Loved location. Our toilet was severly cracked and flooded after 1 use. Took 2 days for a full replacement. Being the hosts, I'm glad it was us and not one of our guests. I'm hoping to receive some compensation for the major inconvenience of not having a working toilet for 2 whole days. Otherwise, lovely property.
