Had a wonderful family New Year's celebration here. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an authentic OBX beach getaway, regardless of the time of year. They are planning a major renovation & I cannot wait to see how it turns out. The house is great as is, comfy beds, clean and functional bathrooms. Needed a couple staples (sponge & coffee filters) & there was no issue getting them the next day from Mike & Chelsea, even 8 miles down the beach road & through the dune ramp. Clear instructions were provided on how to get there, even in the dark (arrived later than we intended to). Mike & Chelsea were flexible on check-out time, as we had to stay up to ring in the New Year. Amazing views as we were able to watch the dolphins feeding from the top balcony & had our own Banker Horse feeding in the front yard.

We had a great time staying at this home over the Christmas holiday.
We took everything we needed for the few days with us; as you do have to drive quite far on the beach. We have been to the area & were familiar with that & knew to bring what we would need. That being said it was worth it; as it is a beautiful setting with amazing views from the home. We saw the horses on the beach & more dolphins than I ever have before & I lived in FL for 20 years.
The house is being remodeled after our stay but looked like the pictures that were advertised. The house has enough room for a very large party & was easy to find. It felt very clean & safe.
Would book here again.
