Tucked away in the secluded beaches of Carova, this brand-new custom home, completed in June 2026, offers the rare opportunity to experience the Outer Banks the way nature intended—peaceful, unspoiled, and wonderfully disconnected from the everyday.
Accessible only by four-wheel drive along the pristine beaches north of Corolla, getting here is part of the adventure. Once you arrive, you'll discover miles of uncrowded shoreline, roaming Corolla Wild Horses, star-filled skies, and the kind of tranquility that's becoming harder to find.
The home's name, The Fourth Watch, was inspired by the owners' favorite time of day—the quiet hours just before sunrise, when the first light spills across the Atlantic and the beach belongs only to the waves and the seabirds. It also carries a deeper meaning from Matthew 14:24-32, commemorating the fourth watch of the night when Jesus walked on the water to calm the disciples' storm. Their hope is that every guest experiences that same sense of peace, renewal, and restoration during their stay.
Thoughtfully designed from the ground up, this newly constructed retreat combines modern coastal luxury with warm, welcoming spaces for gathering after a day on the beach. Whether you're sipping coffee as the sun rises over the ocean, watching wild horses wander through the dunes, or ending the evening beneath a sky full of stars, every moment at The Fourth Watch invites you to slow down, reconnect, and create memories that will stay with you long after the tide rolls out.
