Lovely Stay
The home is exactly as photos show. Lots of interesting art, books and photos. Plenty of room to spread out and get comfortable. Comfortable beds, nice shower and linens. Felt safe in the neighborhood and the location was perfect for our planned activities. Overall, a lovely stay.

Great accommodations, good location and terrific property owner.
Well-kept property both inside and out. Beautifully decorated, homey, cozy and private. All the comforts of home away from home. The owner was easy to talk to and gave my sister and I wonderful tips as to the best shopping and nearby restaurants with yummy food and restful atmospheres. We highly recommend Casa Calypso!

Tropical vacation retreat
We stayed in Casa Calypso for 2 weeks, and had a great time. We loved perusing the original art and the old prints that populate every wall. We also love the colorful interior design - a vacation ambiance. Brenda was friendly and responded promptly to our questions. She provides luggage racks, so our suitcases were very accessible. Also, she has thoughtfully labeled the drawers and cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom - no scavenger hunting! The internet speed was at least 100 mbps, which is plenty fast for any task, including streaming. The rooms are spacious and clean and the beds are comfy. The backyard is very welcoming and the patio is sheltered by a large pergola. Overall, the stay was a tropical vacation treat.

Wonderful House, Art, and Host
Brenda was a wonderful host. I contacted her since I was arriving early to see if I could drop my bags at her house while waiting for my family to drive in. She allowed me to come early and I was able to chat with her for a while. The art was beautiful and if we had any issues, she responded within 2-3 minutes. My family and I definitely enjoyed staying there,. One of my favorite items was her cat who was so calm, and sweet. She would be out on the patio getting some sun (even though it was blazing hot) relaxing. She had no issue with getting interrupted to get some love though. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect bay home!
Such a beautiful super clean home! Brenda is super nice and has everything you need! We loved her kitty and piano too! Awesome patio and hammock! We cooked every night- plenty of pots, pans, spices, utensils. Comfortable beds, plenty of towels, linens. We walked to the bay everyday- great neighborhood to walk in. Easy drive to Whitecap beach. We had the best stay at Brenda’s house! Wish we didn’t have to go home!

Another excellent stay!
This was my second stay at Casa Calypso and we’ll definitely be back for thirds! Brenda is exceptionally responsive and a great host. The house had everything we needed for our trip. Super comfortable and centrally located, with easy access to great restaurants and all the sights. House is very clean and well appointed. One of the best hosts and houses around!!!

Loved this property! Brenda was so kind and welcoming, even had a little Christmas gift waiting on my daughter when we arrived! The home is large, comfortable, everything is labeled and organized, and on a nice corner lot. We will definitely return when back in Corpus!!

What a wonderful place this is...it lived up to great reviews from others. The pictures of the house drew us in and I know they will please you if you end up choosing this property. Brenda is fantastic and was available 100% for our questions. The roomy house is just a few blocks from the gulf, many great restaurants are close and shopping isn't far either. Wonderful weekend Away
Brenda is a wonderful VRBO hostess. The house was clean and neat and very quiet. My brother and his wife live in the same neighborhood just a few blocks away. We had a great visit with them after not seeing them for over a year. They walked over to see the property and liked it as much as we did. Thank you Brenda we will be back.

Lovely small house near everything in downtown Corpus.
Brenda met us as we were driving up. We got we the key and Brenda gave us a run down on the do’s and don’t. She was a wonderful host. We had a short 3 days stay, so we were at exploring everyday. Very close to shore line drive, which we really enjoyed. We hope to return and stay again. We loved Corpus Christi, north Padre Island National Seashore and Mustang Island. Magical Artistic Abode
I am a writer who needed to step away to do a major revision of a work in process. This home is filled a balance of creative inspiration and serenity. Brenda is an attentive and lovely hostess and the house had unexpected extras for comfort and for fun. My favorite place was the outdoor patio with tropical plants and hummingbirds. It was truly a pleasurable stay and I will book again.

A peaceful oasis, and was central to everything we wanted to see!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Brenda is a warm and thoughtful hostess! She made sure we had everything we needed, brought us homemade bread and fresh, local grapefruit - even invited us to a oceanside bonfire! The house was clean, clutter-free and beautiful- it's like walking in an art gallery. The patio is amazing for morning coffee, afternoon breaks or evening relaxing. There is a full kitchen and a natural grocer within 1.5 miles. The bed was comfortable. Dog friendly home and neighborhood. A very safe and quiet location. We highly recommend!

Great location and Very Clean
The house was located in close proximity to shops, restaurants, grocery stores and downtown. The owner stays in a guest house behind the property but she had her own back entrance/exit so we didn’t even know when she came and went. Brenda was very sweet and accommodating throughout our stay. She was very sweet to my dog and accommodated to her as well. We absolutely loved how clean and well stocked the house was. It had great art pieces and beautiful antiques throughout the house. We would definitely stay here again.

Everything you could ever want in a rental
This house was amazing with plenty of room to spread out and relax, watch the hummingbirds, work at the library table, cook a nice meal and sleep like a baby. I have never seen a rental so well stocked with EVERYTHING needed for the most pleasant stay. This will be our only option when we rent in Corpus. No other could compare.

Cozy and private.
Brenda's place is inviting, warm and private. It was the perfect place for me to land for a week and work and play. She is an accommodating and communicative host, and was in contact with me at all the appropriate times. I very much enjoyed the backyard hammock! The location was perfectly situated between my place of work and the downtown area. The kitchen is equipped with coffee, which prevented the need to rush out to the store immediately upon arrival. (Can't survive without the coffee.) I highly recommend Casa Calypso and will absolutely stay here if my travels bring me to Corpus Christi again.
