The house was not as clean as we hoped. We found used underwear on a couch, dirty sock in the dryer, and others toys under a couch - along with much dirt. There was a leak in the roof that we found after it had been raining a while (it dripped into a box of our games). The website needs updating - every room had its own hairdryer, so we didn’t need to have brought them in luggage for instance. Maybe indicating there is a keurig in the kitchen would be a good idea. Some of the kitchen utensils desperately need to be replaced (can opener, peeler for example). The dishwasher doesn’t seem to work well. Even with rinsing dishes we ended up washing by hand after the dishwasher had run. Even tried using our own dishwasher soap in case that wa the issue. Maybe we cook more than most. We tried to vacuum the living room area but could not get the vacuum to pick up anything. The dryer seems to not work well either - it took 3 cycles to still not dry 4 pieces of clothing that had been through their washer. One of the king beds had the sheets put on sideways so they kept coming off during the first night. The grounds had quite a bit of trash which we spent some time picking up. One of the toilets just ran and ran and ran. The pool was a big hit!! But the hot tub had sand in it so we chose not to use it. Even though there were things we would have liked to have seen be in better shape, we made the best of it and enjoyed celebrating a 90th birthday.
