“Amazing stay, even extended twice. The service is second to none, everything is no problem. From the amazing view of the sea to all the varied wildlife in the grounds, posse of monkeys visit every day drinking from the pool and generally being monkeys to peacocks, a mongoose, frogs, all the birds. “This property is designed to take care of your every need. You have a personal butler who you work with for everything—dining, outside excursions, a drink by the pool—and they do an excellent job. Our butler was Menuka and he was wonderful, helpful, and kind. We stayed on the property for the most part and chose to do all of our meals there because we liked the food and the convenience. It is a very small property and quiet so if you are really interested in disconnecting, this is a good choice....

“It was the most unpleasant stay in Sri Lanka and in general in several years traveling in Asia. The receptionist was totally unfriendly, just interested in getting us out out the hotel....and we understood why: some rooms were under renovation, so there was noise from early in the morning through the day. Nobody addressed us any excuse or recognize any kind of compensation for that. The guy at the restaurant was superb and hostyle, trying to reduce breakfast against what was our right to receive...

“We wanted a relaxing and peaceful holiday with a pool and view and good service. This hotel didn’t disappoint us. There are only six rooms so the service was personal and exceptional. The hotel is located at the quieter end of the Hikkadawa stretch of beach which suited us. The livelier bars and hotels were only a short walk away too.
