“Charming, rustic property. Very clean and well stocked with kitchen supplies. Fireplace heats the house very well. We didn't need baseboard heat (or we could have skipped the fire). Loved the sauna. So happy to not have access to WiFi. Comfy beds. Awesome hosts. -- responded quickly to a question and were very friendly. Loved the sounds of frogs and birds, and the stars were beautiful.”

“We liked the quiet spot in the woods which was a nice location to Duluth and North Shore activities. The kids loved sleeping in the loft. We hiked through the woods and found the little waterfalls right from the property. We even got to see a bear on our last night. The property had everything we needed.”

“We loved our stay here! We had a large group with ages ranging from 0 to 70! Place was spacious and clean! We were very stunned upon arrival. Caretaker was very informative and low key. We forgot he was even on site! We will be returning for sure.”

“We took a trip to this location late May and the property was beautiful and my kids got to go WILD!!!! My only complaint is that with all the rain there were a lot of mosquitoes. This was a perfect trip since we were balling on a budget!! There was a lot more to do then expected!!”

“My husband and I came up to Minnesota to go birding at Sax Zim Bog, and we found this great cottage. It was the perfect place! It was very close to Sax Zim Bog, and it was close to the gas station and Wilbert Cafe in town. “What a beautiful space for a fall getaway. The cabin is spacious and clean - even better than it looks in the pictures. Plenty of comfortable furniture, open spaces made even more so by the numerous windows, and comfortable beds. There's no TV (in my mind, that's a bonus), but the wi-fi worked great and there are plenty of books and board games available. “Not sure where to start, Cold with no heat You plugged anything in and you will blow a hard to find fuse that we had to go back to Duluth to find, water was un drinkable found out the hard way, the bath house was un heated aswell and the hot water lasted for about 2 minutes. Needless to say it was for the most part Unhabitable!”
