“I was greeted by a very friendly and helpful host who showed me to my room and told me about the events of the coming weekend. The pub website says that it can be noisy because they have late night events but up on the second (or was it third floor) it was actually fairly quiet even with the Pride after party going on after midnight. The pub has a small car park that was never full in the week I was there. The location is perfect, right in the centre of Ulverston and within easy walking...

“Could not have asked for a better night's stay for the price. Absolutely fantastic value. Mark contacted me in advance about our stay and I felt completely at ease. We had a lovely large room with comfy beds and even TV, selection of films, chairs and tablesz tea and coffee, everything we'd need for a night in should that be what we wanted. Location is perfect, right over the road from Morrisons and walking distance to the town centre. Had a great night's sleep and would definitely book again....

“Very pleasant hotel with nice staff and all facilities you could expect. The room was perfect, except impossibility to open window for a little fresh air inside the room (air conditioning available though). Parking is big enough to park your car safely next to the hotel. City center and docks are easy to reach by walk (we recommend the docks museum, very interesting and free admission). Huge Tesco and other food corners around the hotel. ”
