“It is a country hotel motel, so don't expect city upmarket hotel, hence enjoy the old style country feel and heritage that comes and relax have fun, we did.”

“We have stayed with Steve and Deb many times, the Flinders never loses its appeal. This time we invited our UK friends for a taste of the outback, we had 4 days in the Flinders, plenty of time to checkout the gorges etc. Unfortunately it rained and rained and we were restricted to the sealed roads only, sometimes the best laid, and longest laid plans just don't work out, perhaps next time.”

“We had a lovely stay and appreciated the freshly baked bread and hot coffee on arrival. It was also really fortunate that the home was connected to a small battery back up to power the fridge and some lights when we lost power during a storm. ”

“Good accommodation There’s a couple of options for beer and a feed in Hawker. Easy drive to Wilpena for sightseeing or day walks. ”

“Acacia Cottage was lovely with a stunning view of the landscape. We wanted a taste of 'real Australia' and definitely got to get away from it all for a couple of nights. Visited Orrorro for a day which was lovely (check out Maggie Rendezvous cafe) even if it was on a road not really meant for a 2WD. Gorgeous sunsets, absolutely lovely people who run it - wine, beer and basic supplies all available from the on-site shop.”
