There is a hardware store in Hardwick if the firewood is damp. Not going to have much cell service in surrounding areas so plan accordingly. Wick at the cabin though. “Gwen and Larry were excellent hosts from start to finish! The property was everything as described, plus more. The communication with the hosts were direct and speedy with responses, an attribute that made our weekend even more enjoyable! From the cute landscape surrounding the cabin, to every aspect inside that was available for us. I look forward to hopefully making more trips back to this quaint destination for an escape from the hustle of Jersey!”

“We managed to be lucky enough to book this cabin just as all of the leaves turned so it was like being in a painting. The land is beautiful to walk and the views are amazing. The cabin itself is very cozy and has great character. The kitchen was very convenient and I loved cooking on that stove, and the bathroom was clean and well kept as well. It was great to unplug, read, and relax for a while. Hopefully we will be able to go back again.”

“We loved this property: On the trails, close to the village, the open floor plan allowed us to all interact, the huge deck was great for hanging out! We loved the fire pit and the entire laid back "Cabin"! This is a perfect place to stay if your a rowdy, beer drinking group of MTB'ers! We have stayed in over 10 properties in East Burke every September and this was one of our favorites!!!!”

“We were two small families (2 couples with 1 child each) and the cabin was a great size for us. The living room had space for everyone to sit together, which was really nice, and we loved the open kitchen/living room design. The knives were also much nicer and sharper than usual in a VRBO, and overall the kitchen was a pleasure to cook in.”

“My friends and I stayed here for a weekend together. The house was perfect for hosting all of us. We were able to make meals together, sled in the backyard and play games. The house was really cozy and really worked out great for our reunion. There's a grocery store nearby and about 20 minutes to skiing. Communication with the property management was great.”

“The cabin itself was lovely the views breathtaking just a couple of hiccups really. We had a 4 Hour drive to get to the cottage which we got to a few minutes early before check-in before four. So we left and came back at four housekeeping was still there. My husband asked how long they would be. They said about a half an hour, so we sat in our car for half an hour. Once again, the cottage is lovely but the screened in porch area. The screens many of them are completely loose blowing in the wind....

“Really beautiful, especially in the fall. We came the second week in October and some reds had fallen but there was a lot of yellow. We were so warm and cozy! There is no way to cook food though, just an outdoor sink, fresh water, and toilet. If you’re coming from out of town make sure you rent a car. There is no Lyft or Uber service in the area.”

“My wife and I enjoyed a 2 bedroom cabin overlooking the lake. It exceeded our expectations. Great hiking nearby including a waterfall and covered bridge. Five minutes to town with multiple dining options. Nice people and very quiet environment. We hope to return. Only negative was a small TV far from the seats and limited programming. Also, be aware that a separate cleaning fee and service fee are added to the final bill.”

“My husband, two small dogs and I stayed at Sterling Ridge for a wedding at The Barn at Smugglers Notch. The resort is peaceful and absolutely beautiful! Close the the venue. Would stay again! Do yourself a favor and choose this resort! The property is just magical!”

“We loved staying in this cozy cabin! We had a bit of a hiccup with check in (the door code didn’t work and Vacasa was difficult to get ahold of) but once we were in, we really enjoyed our stay! The cabin was clean and comfortable. The kids loved making smores in the fire pit and our dog loved sleeping in front of the fireplace. We would definitely stay here again!”
